AP unfair

I live in Georgia and I'm looking to buy an AP during my honeymoon this month and am considering offering to pay 100% of the cost in cash if they'll sell me a Florida AP. I only live an hour away from Florida, but I realize if I'm an hour away from Florida I may as well be 24 hours away because a non-Floridian is a non-Floridian. Does Disney ever honor bargaining? We Americans typically think of bargaining as somehow dishonest or immoral, but for most of the rest of the world it's an everyday thing. To me(with my limited business knowledge) from a business standpoint it'd seem like a win-win for myself and Disney because my proximity to the park would allow me to go more often and spend more money in the parks. Just a thought.
No. If you do not meet the residency criteria they will not sell you a Florida resident pass.

Why is it that Fla. residents are offered a payment plan for annual passes but the other 49 states are not? I know being a resident of Pa. who goes at least once a year would love to share in this. I know it is to get Fla. residents to go in the off season, but really it is always crowed. I think this is totally unfair. The way the economy is people would love to have a payment plan. The tickets are the most expensive thing.

Because most Florida residents who are APers will take monthly trips, some even weekly weekend trips to WDW and its very worth while for Disney to cater to them.

This is WDW trying to get those Apers back that they lost a long time ago. I remember it was big at one time, in the early 90's.

I'm sure they're looking at DL's increased profits from APers and they're salivating..

I'm pretty sure the answer is no, but I don't think it has anything to do with thinking it's dishonest or immoral, so much as the size of the company and the fact that it is necessarily run almost entirely on automated systems. I think I've read that they have something like 60k cast members in FL alone. At least several thousand of them must be customer-facing, and that means that the potential for a wide amount of variance if they're allowed to engage in haggling. That not only stresses their automated systems and screws up things like forecasting and reporting, it also has the potential to upset guests when one hears that cast member A has offered a sweet deal to someone else and cast member B won't offer the same to them.

Do realize what you have done? When the Grand Puba of APs sees your post you may very well have to sit through 20 consecutive SGE shows!!!!
