It was nice. We did get DVC goodies (small things) and a free Mickey Bar. This was an invite only DVC event, I just knew the right people...

I NEVER get AP emails. It makes me sooooooo mad! Do only local FL residents get these emails? I feel like a step-child all the time.

I never get the emails either. Frustrating to say the least. I will be in Disney 2 weeks after this event. I am hoping maybe they will throw in a few more preview dates before it actually opens. :shrug:

I don't think it is actually the "first" anymore since some people have already reported they have seen BLT and even today they were giving DVC previews.

If you go it sure would be nice to get pics of other than the obvious vistas (IE Bay Lake). It sounds like non-members/guests may not have access to the place once it opens. So any pics will be appreciated.

Not true. My wife and I aren't DVC members and have a room booked at Bay Lake Towers in September. We stayed at The Polynesian resort last May and got a bounce back offer on our last day. We requested a 1 bedroom suite at Bay Lake Towers and got it for a week at 40% off. We'll be taking lots of pictures but I imagine by then you will have had your share of them.

The only comment I have to make about the new BLT is that it totally screwed up our bi-annual watching of wishes from the dock at the Contemporary while we watched the boat parade at the same time.
A real bummer for our family after almost 3 decades, but whatever, everything ends eventually...
