One Little Spark...
Either or. Really doesn't matter (based on what you described)

PORS has slightly better rooms (in terms of size and beds), AoA has slightly better bus service. AoA has a better food court, imho, if that matters...

POR is a lovely resort, arguably WDW's best Moderate. AOA is a Value Resort, meaning less services and a lower staff-to-guest ratio.

POR has the better pool, better food court, better bus service, a sit-down restaurant (something AOA doesn't have), and is quieter.

Straight up, POR is far better. The question is, do you want to pay the price difference?

As a moderate resort, POR has besides the food court a sit-down restaurant (Boatwright's Dining Hall), a lounge (River Roost), a pool bar (Muddy Rivers) and a more themed pool area with a water slide. With AOA you just get the food court and a pool bar. As someone else mentioned, POR has more of a resort feel with its overall theming.

My vote is for POR! It's our favourite resort. We've stayed at AoA too.

Pros for POR:
-water taxi to Disney Springs, FQ, and and other resorts if you want to visit them without taking a bus
-beautiful main pool and multiple quiet pools
-Boatwright's restaurant is one of our favs anywhere
-the mill food court has a great selection
-more relaxed grounds, more to explore
-Yeehaw Bob!
-new royal rooms (if you want to spend a bit extra)

Pros for AoA:
-themed for kids
-massive main pool
-the family suites are beautiful but probably expensive for just 3 people

Another vote for Riverside! I love the proximity to Disney Springs. And Yeehaw Bob is great!! I can't get my husband to stay anywhere else :) It really is a nice, relaxing resort. Also, the ability to walk to French Quarter is another reason we love it so much. We can listen to the musicians there and enjoy their beignets.

PO I think is the best moderate resort, so I'd recommend that. Not sure how your schedule is but it might be better for you to do the 3 days before going to poly. I've found on split stays it's better to do the delixe the second half.

I've stayed at both. If you're going to do a standard room, I'd also choose PO since it's quieter. However, if you don't mind the higher price, the suites at AoA might be more accommodating.

It's really beautiful too!
