Anyone know this CD...

There was a WDW theme park CD that came out probably back in the late 80s/early 90s, and it had all the original Epcot songs (Energy, Horizons, etc) as well as some MK songs. What was the title and where can I get it? (I am assuming it's out of print). I tried Ebay but it might help if I had the exact title. TIA!

Yeah, the CD I think you are talking about is what got me hooked on Disney park music. It is definately out of print and was made for both WDW and DL. It was called "Official Album of Disneyland and Walt Disney World." I think it was later released with a different cover, but here is the cover that it had. Several years ago I accidently left my copy of it on an airplane, but found it on eBay, so that is probably your best bet.

This first link is to the cassette case cover and the second link is to the second release of the album.

Yep, definitely thinking of the top one. I had a similar thing happen to me. I bought this CD when it first came out, then somehow it disappeared around 2000 or so. Never really cared much, but now I really want it again. Thanks for the info!

It appears the top one (the original) is no where to be found. That's the better one. The more recent one (bottom) doesn't have any of the original Epcot songs, which is what I am looking for.

Yeah, the first one is definately better! Keep checking back on eBay every once and a while. It will randomly appear on there, but be prepared to pay a fair amount if it is on there. I have seen it go for around $60 and I think I got mine for about $40.

I know this isn't the same as having the original album, but all of those EPCOT songs are, in fact, on the current "official album" 2-CD set called "The Happiest Celebrartion on Earth."

yeah i have the cassette of the first one. I would listen to that none stop for days when i was younger. ( I love "Just make believe...you're a tiny little seed") Now my cousin, she's 5 is the same way about a newer park cd. She listens to "Friend Like Me" from the tiki birds none stop. (what can i say about her taste, she's never seen the original version)

i'm dying to get that cassette on CD by the way. i might have to see if i can find it too. Its the best one i've ever gotten. The happiest celebration CD isnt bad though either. I like that one. It gets me through the months i have to go between visits. only 43 more days til 10 days in Disney :D

That is absolutely the best Disney World album ever. It was the very first CD I ever bought when my family got our first player. My sister and I were each allowed to get one. Mine took a dive off the roof of my moving car many years ago (don't let your CDs ride up there) and got a huge crack in it. It still worked except for each and every Epcot song. Luckily, a few years later the internet helped me get a restored copy. I still keep the cracked one though in my CD case too. It's that good!

No, the 2-CD set only sold in the parks/resorts. Sells for $24.99. That CD is more focused on DL, whereas the 2-CD set is all about WDW/Epcot/MGM/AK.

There is a few nice things about this set as compared to the OOP CD, the first being you get the first part of the original EPCOT entrance music (Instrumental Energy) and secondly you get additional music from Pirates & Haunted Mansion. Unfortunately, there is no MSEP on the 2 disc cd.

However, the OOP CD MSEP electrical parade music pales when compared what was on the 1980 Official Album. This had an app. 7 minute version.

My sister has the original CD version. I can't remember when she got it, I'm thinking it was one of our family trips back in the 90's I believe. It is in fact the original not the re-release, has all the original songs for some of the now extinct attractions.

I'll do some research and see if I can help dig it up on EBay or somewhere.

The one I have I recall buying it in the 90's and the one I have it's entitled "The Music of Disneyland, Walt Disney World & Epcot Center. It's great since it even had the Main Street Electrical Parade.

I`d say this 2 CD has all the 1990 songs from EPCOT Center, apart from possiby Golden Dream; I believe this is the 1993 version.
