All we know is that it will eventually get built, as of now they are taking the smart path and building up what they have.

With Disney's Animal Kingdom having just opened, it may seem a little early to be talking about the next park.   Based on the previous history of park development we could be riding this new park in 2007!

The rumor list includes concepts such as

* Disney Villains
* Coaster Kingdom
* Sports World
* Disney Seas

ohh.. here's the working title for the new park:

Disney's Invisible Adventure in an uncleared forest with no modern conveniences like toilets or AC

and of course, they'll charge full admission to a park with possibly less to do than AK

I bet they do something a little more creative... A souviner stand in the middle of every attraction!

has anyone else noticed that recent disney parks have been quite small? ie. Ak opened with 1 e-ticket (depending if you count Kilimanjaro Safari ), Disney - MGM studios opened with something like 8 attractions? and the new park in Paris is not much different either. Although DCA and TDS opened with quite a lot - i hope that the 5th park will be like that :D

I say the next park will be a water park.

Also, I think a small scale Extreme Park based on the How To... Episodes with Goofy would be awesome. It could be close to the Sports Complex. You know, maybe a Bungee, something like those Drag Car Rides, Themed Go-kart Tracks, a Soarin ride, and Disney could get real creative and come up with some of their own. Something the size of Pleasure Island. I don't mean extreme like Roller Coasters or anything, just based on Extreme Sports themes. (Ex. Go-Karts = Racing, Soarin = Hang Gliding, Bungee = ??? Bungee ???)

And of course by the time your ride is over your shorts are pulled over your head and your arms and legs are tied in knots.:lol:

I think you are right. The TDS park is so popular and so nice, that it makes sense for them to build it.

There was somebody who posted on the lack of e-tickets and why. Here was their explanation:

The reason why Disney had so many e-tickets in Epcot (ok, in relativity to AK) and MK was that the A, B, C, D, and E ticket system was in place. This is because each ride had to pay for itself. No shops, no tacky pins, nothing. Since E tickes payed so much, that's why there were more of them. Shows and other things were extras. Now, with the flat rate thing going, there are little E tickets anymore. They don't pay off. And now, shows are not extras, their included with admission, that's why Disney now includes Pin Trading with admission, to make there seem like more attractions than there really is (no, I'm not making it up, there really do count it as an attraction)

Umm..Epcot doesn't have many E-tickets now, and if it wasn't for them taking out two original rides then there would be none. Also they are making more money now then they were with the tickets. People were getting tired of buying tickets when there were so many MK attractions. Also the tickets were long gone by the time Epcot opened. And Pin trading IS NOT and attraction.

Yes, Disney has decided in WDW to open theme parks in phase one and build off that, which will give the park an additional marketing "boost" when new phases open up (the best example being Sunset Blvd. in MGM) and gives them room to gage reaction to the park, and change plans accordingly. It sucks in the short term (my manager and I had a long talk about this) that park guests are paying $50 a pop for an incomplete park. WDW can get away with this since there's already two complete parks to go to, and those that would pay to go multiple days to Epcot and MK (like all of us Disney Fans) won't mind paying for another day for MGM or AK while its not complete.
At Disneyland at TDK, they NEED complete parks, so it has more at the start. Its a bad trend, but Disney will probably stick with it when a 5th theme park comes around, don't expect it ANYTIME soon from what I'm hearing. Disney will work on expanding the 4 before they risk a 5th right now, plans may be there, but with the company in so much corporate debt, don't plan on it until the money situation gets under control.
