Anyone in December?

I am sorry for your bad experience @Ariel484 but I am selfishly happy in knowing I had none of the issues you describe and it was seemless for me. It was also pretty quick which surprised me as well. I know I've heard some issues for AP holders and I'm betting it's something in the system that isn't working properly when it isn't a true "package." Something they definitely have got to fix BUT they aren't live yet, it's still in test, so I personally am not shocked at all. Here's hoping the discrepancies you see work in your favor and not the other way around!
Yeah, this is really the first issue I've had with Disney's website (besides when I was making ADRs for this trip and the new MDE site didn't work...luckily I had the link to the old site). We'll see what happens!
How many days are you going- I think AP's cn only get like 7 days on a row of FP selections. I hope they are able to help you out. Have a great trip regardless!
8 days, and it let me make FP+ choices for the first 6. Boo!

I felt the same until I realized that you can go back in and change your times. Once I figured that out I was golden and it became a lot easier.

We ended up with a couple of conflicts that couldn't be resolved. 30-40 days out there are some ADRs that are virtually impossible to shift if necessary. Over the course of ten days it's not a big deal, and something that's bound to happen. We are really looking forward to it!

Here's an update on my situation...

I called Disney yesterday (using a tech support number posted in another thread) and it sounds like the reason I wasn't able to make those last 2 days worth had to do with how my reservation is set up. We're renting points and were originally hoping to do a split stay. So I made the first part of our reservation at the 11-month mark. When I went to make the second part of our reservation there was no availability! o_O So I ended up making that second part of the reservation at the same resort as the first part. So we're at the same resort all week but under 2 different confirmation numbers (hope they don't make us switch rooms!).

So yesterday was the 60-day mark for my first reservation and according to the CM the system knows that the 60-day mark for the second part of my reservation hasn't happened yet. It might also be that the second part of my reservation starts 12/31 - right at the end of testing. So supposedly it should work for me when my second 60-day mark comes up (Thursday or Friday I guess). If it doesn't I get to call back and have them enter the FP+ manually.

Also, MDE is crashing like crazy for me today. :grumpy: I'll be glad when all my FP+ are booked and I don't have to think about this crap anymore!!

Oh I didn't mean shifting your ADRs... I mean the FPs. When it gives you the list of options, you chose them and then can go back in and change the times for each and every one to be something more suitable. For example, I had to chose a list of FP+ selections where one time conflicted with an ADR we had. I went back in and moved it to be earlier so we could make our ADR. :)

Going for 5 days starting Dec. 5, staying at Coronado Springs. Crazy question here. I have expired seasonal passes that show up on MDE as expired. We are not renewing, but buying new passes at the gate to have new anniversary dates. Logged onto MDE and saw that we could customize MagicBands for each pass even though it was expired, so I did. My shipping address was confirmed and it says I have four bands on order. Does this mean that Disney is shipping us four customized MagicBands even though we have no ticket media to apply to them? If so, this seems absurd and a total waste of money for Disney. Don't get me wrong, I will gladly take them and use them, but what if I wasn't going to renew or buy new tickets or wasn't going to the parks and was just enjoying a few days at the resort? No wonder ticket media is hitting the roof at record pace. They waste so much money on this crap! Anyway, when/if we receive the bands, will they attach the new passes to them at the gate or would we just be issued a new RFID card and keep the bands as souvenirs? I am guessing they will attache to the bands, but will have to wait and see. Either way, it does not give me an option to attach FP+ to anything as I do not have updated ticket media. Am I going to get screwed on the FP+ options since I won't have the passes until I get there? As a semi-local and frequent park goer, it sounds to me that taking these short or spur of the moment trips to the World are not worth it anymore for passholders and that all they care about are big spenders in the parks.

Ok, to expand on the above post, just checked my sister's MDE account and it also shows her expired pass from a year ago. She will be staying at CSR as well, but will not be going into the parks. MDE allowed me to update and customize a MagicBand for her. Confirmed mailing address and says one band on order. Will she receive a band, and how long would it be before she received it? If she receives it, what would she do with it? Maybe just attach her room to it for entry since she is not going into the parks? Man, this NextGen stuff was either not thought out too well, or too well over-thought!

I am pretty new to this site and not a Disney expert by any stretch but I think you are going to need the MagicBands just to get in and out of the rooms as they also replace room keys/cards.

They will apply your ticket purchase to your bands once they are paid for.

Yep! Your Magic Band is your Room Key and with this latest test expansion they've removed the KTTW Cards so it's your only room key.

Ok, thanks for all the input. What happens if I/we don't like the bands? Will they give us a key or card? My kids may not want to where them, but they may love them. You never know about 5 year olds. I really don't want to have to carry a bulky band in my pocket or wear 3 of them. Whatever it is, we will figure it out when we get there.

We had a couple of conflicts that didn't have a time available for the attraction, so we tried to move the ADR. There just weren't solutions available. When ADRs are made at 180 days, and FP+ inside 60 as they were in this case, and a trip that's 10 days, it's not improbable to have one or two conflicts that aren't easy to resolve. That could change between now and our trip, or the day of... I think we'll survive:) Thanks for trying to help us out, it's appreciated!

Absolutely! Sorry it didn't work out for you! I was lucky to have pretty much every possible slot open once I went in to change what I had reserved and moved them around the ADRs.

Just got an invite to participate in MyMagic+ even though I have customized my bands and made FP+ selection for my stay weeks ago. I guess better late than never.

Yeah I got the e-mail followed by a Mickey Mail version way after I had done it as well. :)

The same also happened to us. I received and email invitation and a mail version too.

But I do have a question... I customized everyone's color is that all I need to do? I keep think I should hit a finalized button. It does say that they are customized.
