Anyone have a Canon Elph 230?

Hello, my hubby has decided that this is the new camera for him (based on reserach on line and consumer reports and the price is right.) However, having said that we can't seem to find the thing in any stores, most oline places are out too. All the wearhouse are out too.

Is this camera really so great or should we give up and get our second choice, a Nikon 450.

Hey, just in case anyone is interested. We finally found this camera (it was the only one at Circuit City in the whole month of January.) It was worth the wait and search.

It is a great camera, we just love it and recomend it to anyone looking for a good small digital camera for point and shot pictures. Now we are all set for our upcoming trip to WDW in 32 days. I plan on taking lots of great pictures!!!!!!!!!

I thought of you over the weekend when I saw an ad for them at Office Depot...glad ya managed to find one. Santa brought me the Canon S30 and I'm having a blast with it...they're great cameras.
Can't wait to take it to WDW this summer.:wave:

Hi tramp. :wave: Gald you like it too. If it wasn't for the fact we just got it I would be very jelous. It is sooooo much better then our old one. (Nikon 750.) It was way to slow. Funny thing though, we had it for almost 9 months when I just got fed up with it and called Costco to see if maybe for some reason they would let me take it back. THEY DID.


So incase anyone wants to know, COSTCO has the best return policy. Gotta love that.

I recently bought a SimpleTech 256 MB CF card at this link:

$85...and it had a $20 rebate and free shipping too....That seemed like a good price to me.



It has a picture of the camera I bought there also...but I paid $344.

That was a great price for the camera, we paid 399, and was happy to get it. (since we had such a hard time finding it.)

The 128 cards at Costco are around 57$ each, a think that is a good price too. With a 256 card to you take much video with it?

My hubby's friend has an 128 he is going to loan us for the trip, so we should be set. Thanks for the hint.
