This saturday we are planning on going to Fantasmic at 7 and Spectromagic at 10. It this do-able? Anyone ever try this? What is most anyone has done in one night? We are going straight from Fantasmic to MK, so it is possible that we may see Wishes at well.

Last Year, I believe it was in Feb/March, We were able to see all 3 Fireworks Shows. I believe it was:
Fantasmic:7:30
Illuminations:9:00
Wishes:10:00

The Times may be a little off, but it is possible at certain times of the year. Usually though it is tough because Fantasmic goes off about 30 min before Illuminations. In fact, If you are at world showcase plaza and look towards France just before Illuminations, you can see the end of Fantasmic.

I have been able to see Illuminations and Wishes in the same night, but that was when Illuminations was at 9:30 and Wishes was at 11:00. We could have seen Fantasmic! at 7:30 too, but we decided to go see the Osborne Lights.

Just about a month ago, my friend and I saw Wishes at 8, then hopped over to Epcot for Illuminations at 9, and we got there about 20 minutes early. So it is do-able.

Its possible, but it involves being parked conviently.
The Fantasmic @ 7, Illum @ 9 and Wishes at 10 is pretty much the only way to do it. The hard part is getting out of Epcot and getting to MK quickly.

Getting from Epcot to MK that quickly would be TOUGH!! I was trying to think what the percentage chance is that the monrail will get you there before 10! I'd say it's about a 60% chance..... I mean you figure..... Illuminations would be over at 9:15 and if u station yourself as close to the exit as possible while still being able to have an unobstructed view, you probably could be out of the park by 9:25 and on the monorail by 9:35????? And the monorail ride from Epcot to the TTC takes about 10 minutes so.... that would leave you at 9:45.... then you have to take the monrail from TTC to MK so i'm guessing you would arrive at 9:50....... thats if everything goes perfectly!!

I guess something else that would be possible to do would be this........ right after Illuminations take a bus from Epcot to the Contemporary..... then take the walkway from the Contemp. to the MK.

Clearly you werent at the parks this weekend. Its not the traffic, its the crowds....

I see your point.. but by now, you should know how to slip through the crowds

Its a push at 30 minutes

I once made it from Epcot from the bridge between France and United Kingdom to the Magic Kingdom in about 30 minutes AFTER the presentation of Reflections of Earth. It was back when they sold passes to E-Ride Night and it started at 10 PM at the Magic Kingdom. It was a lot of stroller dodging and I was alone so I didn't have to drag anyone along with me. I took the monorail from Epcot to the Ticket and Transportation Center and transferred to the resort monorail on the Magic Kingdom.

Not that I was trying to see a fireworks presentation but just to give you an idea of what the Epcot to Magic Kingdom timing might be.

I wonder if exiting Epcot through the International Gateway to Boardwalk and then catching the bus might have been quicker than getting through the crowd leaving the park. I guess it would depend if you were lucky catching a bus and which hub, (TTC or Pleasure Island), the bus would take you to that time of night.

When I was there in January the advice I received trying to get from the Magic Kingdom to Pleasure Island was to take the bus to Wilderness Lodge and then to Pleasure Island. I was suprised there wasn't a direct link between the two evening fuctioning hubs. That took almost an hour to complete!

Oh the mysteries of the bus system at WDW!

When I read the first sentance of your post, that is exaclty what I was thinking. I have never even thought about trying the Gateway. Hmmmm?!? Experiment time I think. :)

Why must we always claim Fantsmic! as a fireworks show? Thats like saying Indiana Jones is an airplane show.

I think its more like people (including myself) just say firework show.

But Fantasmic does have fireworks :slurp:

I've done this many times and it's not a problem at all. Illuminations is over before 9:15 and it's no problem, even with huge crowds, to get to the monorail and then over to MK. I know it seems like it would be complex, walking to the fountain, through the crowds, to the monorail, over to TTC, transfer, over to MK, through the turnstyles, but it doesn't take as long as it sounds. You need a determined walk but don't need to run. I've always made it to MK by 9:50ish in time to get up Main Street. Driving it would seem difficult to make. I'm not sure that would be as easy.

I've also done the 8:00 Fantasmic and then the 9:00 Illuminations by walking from the Studios, through the Boardwalk, and into the International Gateway. This is much harder and requires a very brisk walk. Getting out of Fantasmic and the Studios is an 8:40 timing and then a 15 minute walk. A 7:30 Fantasmic works much better.

And, I wouldn't even consider the bus if you are on a tight schedule. They are very unpredictable. On the other hand, at Epcot closing the monorails are running very frequently.
