Okay, my employer is on shakey financial ground; they have closed facilities; I've had more workload put on me than I can manage; working 50 hours a week; all coworkers feel like our facility will close next making daily bad atmosphere; unemployment just announced today to be 15.3% locally; it's been below 25ºF for the past month; there's about 8" of snow that won't go away; credit card interest rate jumped by 14% this month due to a fogotten payment; car door hinge is loose so it won't open; I have a hard time remembering anything; family members try to stay away due to my moodiness; my best friend is down and out mentally; cats chase one another; there's nothing good on TV anymore....

I need a Walt Disney World vacation fix...
NOW!!!!!!!

Anyone else?

I hear ya! I've been sick for 22 days now - 22 days, 3 doc appts, 4 new perscriptions making that 7 total - crapy health insurance so the scripts are $50 a piece - 1 day off to get better b/c too much work and not enough people to do it - no raise this year - bonuses cut - and i'm living on the "i'm just happy to have a job" moto. And yes...129 days to my "I can't wait to go to Disney" vacation!!!! :sohappy:

Hope you feel better soon. Good health is the worst thing to not have!

I lost my full time job and am living on my part-time job waiting to hear if I get the promotion I interviewed for. I got enough on my last check to last me just a little while, but it is slowly being eaten up. But, I had my trip almost completely paid for and so I might still be able to take my birthday trip. 92 days, I am thinking, is the countdown from today. Double digit dance!

Lost job after 10 years on Dec 13th. Mom's car was stolen out of my drive way, hasn't been heard from yet. Brothers water has been frozen for 8 days now. Loaned him $400.00 for backhoe. Still froze.:shrug:Lots of snow. Have to have surgery next week. Depressed and hateful most of the time sleep all day and up all night on Pogo. Truck needs $600.00 worth of repairs (before we leave on the 7th:)). DH has to planters warts that need taken off, have spent enough money on over counter meds to have them removed twice at Drs office. Dh hates drs. BTW have no health insurance have to self pay WONDERFUL!

On the bright side I am leavin for home on the 7th (tent camping) til the 13th.

Yes I think a trip to the most magical place is worth it. Leave your worries behind.

No offense, but you can get those same prescriptions for $4 or less at Walmart, CVS, Target ...

Sadly, not all of them. I've already had the first round of meds that yes, some were only a few dollars. But that didn't touch what ever crazy bug I picked up so now i'm on round two - none of which are on that list. :(

Thanks for the opportunity to whine. I've been living on about 50% pay since October, so WDW is probably out for us this year. On top of that, DW's car blew a transmission last week, which wiped out the little I had set aside. We keep having ice storms here, and it's only gone above freezing for about 4 days since Christmas, so it never really melts and the utility bills are outrageous. We just had another one yesterday and weathermen are predicting a major storm for Tuesday. I haven't had the courage to start my income taxes yet- I've had to pay eight out of the last ten years. (I'm partially self employed-no matter how good you estimate, it's never close enough).

Boy, could I use a WDW vacation right now. I've had enough of this winter and the "new economy"!

I've had enough of this winter. Cold every day, snowing at least once a week. This stinks. I want to go on vacation :). If only I had money, I'd be in WDW right now.

DH lost his job yesterday, the 4th in 14 years. Manufacturing industry sucks! Cold winter-high utility bills. Snow on ground since late November. Thought trip in 22 days was off, but DH said we're still going, tickets are paid for, we need break! :D Can't wait to get there and thaw out!

Talk about a dose of gratitude! Boy, after reading these posts I have nothing to complain about. I sincerly hope all of you suffering job loses and health problems all have a better 2009 than it has started out to be. If you have already planned and paid for your vacations then go and have fun, WDW is a place I always seem to be able to put aside my problems and not think about the issues of my real life. I suspend my reality while I am there, I hope you all can do the same. Time enough for the real world when you get home, right?

I don't know the difference between "planters" warts and regular ones but have you tried duct tape? Don't laugh, it works. Put some duct tape over them, look at them every now and then, put new tape on again and maybe, if they are like regular warts, they will go away. Everyone has duct tape, it is worth a try!

OMG :ROFLOL: I just told my DH to try the Duct Tape. Planters Warts grow inverted in the soles of your feet they are painful. But hey we have tried everything else. He just medicated his feet for the night and I told him that I would call the doctor for which he said no. Thanks for the advice. I only have 7 more days til we are at the Fort :sohappy: I'll keep you posted. TTYL
