Anyone Else Not A Fan Of Dance Parties?

Maybe I'm gradually becoming an old gripe. Last time I was in Tomorrowland, they had that Stitch dance party taking place. To me, it sorta killed the atmosphere. You could even hear it while riding TTA. Like I said, maybe I'm too much of a Disney purist & need to lighten up a little. But do these dance parties ruin the ambience for any of you? After reading about the Spring Break dance party taking place on Streets of America at DHS this week, the first thought that went through my mind was: "Avoid at all costs."

What are your thoughts? Are these dance parties just good fun, or atmosphere-killers in the parks?

I agree what is so futuristic (even by the 1970s vision of the future) about Pluto and Goofy dancing in space costumes. Spring Break Dance party in a park with Alcohol has possibilities. That is if only Spring Breakers attend.

I disagree with most on this one we were at stitch dance party and year before one in DHS my son loved them, loved to actually interact with characters instead of just posing for pictures, it's ment for the younger kids and I know mine loves them. I admit I do too since he wasn't doing space mountain we snatched fast passes and I rode, then went back to club 626, she rode, then I went again, the whole time he was dancing away. I enjoyed watching him have fun while wife rode space mt and she said same. It's perfect for parents who wnt to ride space. Same at DHS I took off for Aerosmith while he danced its a great idea

I can't stand them, but then I'm old and mean.

Hated that Stitch Dance Party. And you can't really get away from it, because it is so loud! When we passed by on TTA, I noticed it was mostly just the DJ, and someone who was supposed to be working a nonexistent crowd. Seemed like it would have done better for a crowd it was intended for in the evening, instead of all day. It is absolutely a cheap way for them to try to divert a crowd to an area they would not normally go to.

Lol I guess I will be the odd one out. My family (mind you my younger sister is 23) loves those dance parties :) we love to dance and get a kick out of the parties so we always join in. Love me some
Cupid Shuffle and Cha Cha Slide.

We go several times a year to WDW so it gives us something to do and our enjoyment of the parks is by no means diminished :)

They are loud and misplaced. I don't think it's very futuristic. Actually, I know they aren't futuristic. Tomorrowland is starting to become a "let's place it here since it doesn't fit anywhere else" land. But, it's what the young girls love these days. Music from people who can't sing.
