Anyone else get in trouble by their spouse/GF/BF waiting for extra clip?

Im telling ya, I must be the only complete and full fledged Disney freak in my area because my wife and I recently went to see POTC the movie and I kept telling her to wait for the extra clip. Well unlike many movies where they play the outtakes or extra clips DURING the credits, the POTC waits until every last credit has completed which TAKES FOREVER. There was a large cast in this movie and the credits go on and on and on. Of course Disney also did it to add a "secretiveness" to it.

We were literally the ONLY people in the theatre waiting for this clip. The cleaning people were all going around us and we sat there like idiots. My wife got mad at me and said "there's no clip, we're leaving". Well I convinced her to stay, but was wondering.

Have any of you had to sacrifice the peacefulness of your loving spouse/BF/ or GF to watch this clip? I guess some of us are just THAT dedicated.:sohappy:

we're going tonight with another couple. They are not Disney crazy like we are; is it really worth it to hang that long for the final clip?

well

well that all depends on the person.

It is only about a 20 second clip. To me it was worth it because it gave me an idea of things to come and I am nuts over that movie. I guess if you are nuts over the movie like i was and you really end up loving it, stay for the final clip.

Hey, what's ten minutes if you're with friends?

nothing to me, but the tightwad I'm going with (no, not my wife) is paying for a babysitter. I can hear him complaining now....

I joke with my wife that she has the attention span of a grapefuit (ie- NONE).

When a movie is done she wants to get out and not bother with anything else. So of course she complained about waiting and then remarked that the clip wasn't worth waiting for and how she hates when movies do that, yada, yada, yada, and why the credits were so long, blah, blah, blah.

Little did she realize her complaining was longer than the credits!

LOL

Before the movie, all my friends were like, ehh, i don't know if we want to stay. But after, they all wanted to stay, especially since the movie was great and because they know how much of a freak I am about Disney.

The best kind of relationship is the kind where you can fight and hold hands at the same time!

We Stayed...

My wife and I stayed for the clip. There were a few others that stayed. The cleaning crew practically shooed us from our seats, so we stood on the steps (stadium seating) and waited. There was a lady by herself behind us, another couple on the exit ramp and what looked like a mother and daughter also on the ramp. The funny thing was, just as the last credit rolled, the other couple walked out! They stayed for the credits and left before the clip!!!

Go figure! :hammer:

lol

We were shooed away by the cleaning staff as well. we had to watch the credits on the ramp. They kept looking at us like we were idiots. We were the only one's there and it was midnight and we were watching the credits, so to mess with them, we starting picking people out of the credits and acting like we knew them well and that's why we were staying. Who knows what they thought.

We must be the only family in the USA who ALWAYS stays to read all of the credits! My children always warn any poor innocents who are with us. How else would we have learned that there's a hairdresser named Dominic Mango?

It is a lot of fun if you have to/want to wait through the credits and read some of the names. Almost as much fun as people-watching.

Shoot, I'd tell her to go to the bathroom and meet me in the lobby. And if you drive, they have to wait anyway! :animwink:

It really is too bad that so many people these days just do not know how to take it slow at all, anyway.

Relax!

theyve really started doing this now havent they, with putting extra clips on at the end of their movies, just picking particular films, like matrix 2 with the trailer, and i still remember the surprise at the end of chamber of secrets, lol that was funny when i was the only one at home who sat through the credits and found it, lol :)

Heck, I don't gripe every time I trip over her hundreds of pairs of shoes in the closet. :brick:
