Anyone else do this?

I feel like a dork but whenever I visit MK with my family or friends that haven't been there in a long time or ever I love taking them on my favorite attractions and watching their faces light up! If you do what's an attraction or show that you love to show off to your friends/family to wow them?
Mine would have to be Haunted Mansion and Splash! (especially now after the refurb!)

My DS was 15, my DD was 10 and loved Splash. I had my niece who was 5 and she was very nervous but I knew she would love the inside of Splash and she wasn't fussing just very apprehensive. She knew there was a big drop, I told her if she didn't want to see it all she had to do was close her eyes and if she wished I could tell her when.

Every little drop, 'is that it?' but was liking Splash, then the big climb, she sees the bird, we get to the top, tension, and the ride stops. Oy. We resume shortly and as I'm about to tell her, drop we did.

She was fine, not upset by the ride but with me. Aunt Gabe you used extremely poor judgement, (one of my Sis's favorite lines to my niece when things went wrong), when she got off the ride, we bought the photo for her and she asked for my cell. Mom! Aunt Gabe used extremely poor judgement, talk to her! Giggle.

Yep, Iove to share our favorite rides.

Similar story to when we took our DD on it about a year after it opened. She saw the BIG drop from outside and wasn't sure she wanted to do it, but we 'made' her. She and my DS were in the front seat. Every drop inside, we told her that was the 'BIG' Drop. By the time we got to the actual DROP, she was prepared...ducked under the front part of the log so quickly that you couldn't even see a bit of her in the photo and she survived without getting wet.

We had an experience like this last year. My daughter brought her friend to WDW with us; it was her first visit. I'll never forget the look on her face when she saw Cinderella's Castle for the first time. She must have stared at it for nearly five minutes. My kids have been spoiled and have been to WDW five times. It was so refreshing to travel with a "newbie." It made the experience new for everyone and was our best trip of all! We're going back in August and, of course, the friend is joining us again...

I think jaws would drop just at the sight of the castle and the sound of the train! Similarly, to see the Tree of Life and Spaceship Earth: " You can ride in that thing?"...:D
