Anyone book thru DVC Rental Store?

Hi all. Last year, after I booked my most recent visit to WDW, I stumbled upon DVC Rental Store. Bookmarked it and kept them in mind, but was a little apprehensive to committing to the idea of using them. Now I am currently trying to book my trip for Feb 2018. I'm considering booking through them, but was curious if anyone has had any experiences with them. Their Facebook page is an endless stream of Disney guests from all over singing their praises and sharing their pics. Just wanted to know if anyone here has ever book their trip with them and if they could give a full recap of it (when did you go, where you able to get your first or second choice on resort, how the process was, etc). They seem legit and I like the glowing reviews they're getting from people on Facebook, but it would be nice to hear more than 1-2 sentences.

We just recently booked through Davids for May of 2018 at the beach club. The process with davids so far has been great. The one thing I can say is this, we tried to book through DVC rental store first. Even went as far as put down a down payment, but they didn't book a room or even get back to us for over 2 weeks. Not a peep from them. We got frustrated and felt forgot about. We contacted davids and tried to book through them, they honestly booked us a villa at the beach club in 24hours and 11 min, at that point we still hadn't herd back from DVC. So we contacted DVCrental and asked them to cancel there search and refund us, which they did so in a timely fashion.

I guess what I'm trying to say I DVC rental wasn't bad just made us feel unimportant and we didn't like waiting on a vacation we wanted to book. Davids was nice and prompt and got us exactly what we wanted and actually saved us 250 dollars over DVC rental. Anythings good when you are paying Disney prices. Hope that gives a little help. Won't know more till May of 2018 ha ha
Omg, I know exactly what you're talking about, it takes forever for them to get back to me! I finally have an offer I'm going to take, but I have a question about the dining plan, knowing I have to purchase through the owner. But will I get it in time to reserv 6 months out? Does the room reservation need to be paid in full before getting my dining plan? And I know also it cannot be linked to my Disney Experience. This is my first time renting so I hope it'll be worth it after I get through this initial phase of planning, purchasing, etc. it seems so much more complicated than going through Disney.

You don’t need the dining plan in place to book. Anyone can book at 180 days out, whether on or offsite. You will need a CC linked to MDE to book though, because of the no show fee.

If you book something that needs to be pre-paid, and then want to use the DDP, you can get the cost refunded and switch it to the DDP at the restaurant.

But you also asked about the room needing to be paid in full. With renting you have to pay in full once you have the reservation linked. Or did you mean the dining plan? That does need to be paid in full at the time of booking it, but you can add it on right up to 48 hrs before - not that I recommend that, in case the owner is not available to,book it, or has a problem doing so.

Thank you! Just a note, the DVC Rental actually requires 50% initially, final payment not due until 45 days before check in.
Yes I will pay for our dining plan in plenty of time, but I still wonder what the process will be for paying for food, since the plan cannot be connected to my Disney Experience, therefore not on our bands I guess.
That's kinda disappointing, I think it would be easier to keep track of everything.

Or are you saying they will not link my room reservation to my Experience until it's paid in full? Will this affect fast passes?

You still use your bands to pay, the dining credits are there. What you can’t do is view the remaining credits on MDE, you need to look at the receipts and check the numbers there each time.
