Getting a room

I just tried to get a room for Nov 8-11 and the only thing on property that was available was a tent at Fort Wilderness!!!

We are going that weekend. Although we were told repeatedly that there are no rooms, we got some by doing the following:

Log on to wdw reservations site.

Book room for many more nights than needed (ie, Nov 6 thru Nov 14)

Cancel unneeded nights over the phone.

Booked 4 rooms at hotel of choice using this method a month or so ago. AS Sports at least has been available since then using this method, as has Boardwalk, Yacht Club, Contemporary, Music, and Port Orleans. Random chance on those hotels.

Hi! We got back TODAY! The crowds were much heavier than the last two times we went (9/00 and 9/98) but not anywhere near where they are around Spring Break. I didn't see any waits that were longer than 45 minutes or so.

Have a GREAT time!!! I would turn around and go right back if I could.

Just got back from Oct 20-26 trip.

Went to MK and Epcot each day. MGM and AK once or twice.

AK and MGM were pretty dead. 15 minute waits tops at ToT and RnRC at MGM and almost no wait for anything at AK.

MK was full of kids. Speaking to a few of the families I talked to, they came to bring thier kids to the not-so-scarey halloween party and were staying a few extra days.

If you do go to the halloween party. Try to go an hour early. The buses will be slammed otherwise with lots and lots of strollers. Once in the park, the rides were never that crowded.

Epcot was a mix. Test track was slammed, everything else was dead in Future World. The food and wine fest was doing a brisk business, and the fireworks were of course a big draw.

Weekends were more crowded than mid week but all in all not bad.
