Ooo, orange already? I didn't know another one was coming this fast.

Same here it kinda makes since then each arrived with in 4 months of each other.

Im very interested to see what orange is going to look like. Then again the new colors look a whole lot better in person and with the sun hitting the expensive paint job.

Ok even better than sitting in the parking lot now its on the beam and in the roundhouse-

So now ALL 3 Mark VII Monorails are on site! with this status
Red with blue windows- running when its under 80 outside
Blue with purple windows- testing
Orange with blue windows- just arrived

Now we just need them (well red at the moment) to be able to run all day. Guess the round house is full again with the 3 Mark VII and the last Mark V which is purple under the YOAMD's wrap.

TL just needs something up on the People Mover track and well be fully back with a great Tomorrowland. Everything is pretty much new except for Star Tours and HISTA both of which need updating badly IMO are the 2 most dated things in the whole resort.

I know this is kinda random but when I was out at Disneyland a few weeks ago I found out my friend I stayed with is actually working on a project to fix the windows on the new Mark VII. They didn't give much details bc I'm sure they'ed bore me to death but it was pretty cool to know they are working on it. Even better when they get paid to go to the parks for work! :D

Sorry for bringing back such an old thread with some odd timing and all but since all news on the Mark VII has been going here...

From Darkbeer-
Kudos to the folks who came up with the new design. The new windows have a "slideable" panel, in which CM's can close if needed (An Allen wrench is needed, to prevent guests from "adjusting" them)

Glad to see that both Orange and Blue will be able to run during the "hotter" times this summer, and that the new design is a very good step forward!

Of course, more photos of the window can be found here...

Actually it's good that you bring this up...Is ther any effect on the DL Mono with the tragedy with ours?
This is all I'v seen or read so far, also that Red is still out for a refurb.

Disneyland Monorails still in operation after Walt Disney World accident

The Disneyland Resort Monorails returned to operation Sunday, following an accident in which two Walt Disney World Monorails in Florida collided early Sunday morning, killing Austin Wuennenberg, the 21 year-old pilot of one monorail, and injuring a second pilot. Mark Goldhaber has much more information about the Florida accident in today's Walt Disney World Resort Update (link).
MousePlanet readers reported that the Disneyland Monorails were not operating when the park opened Sunday morning, and subsequent reports indicated that the Monorails had reopened. MousePlanet contacted Disneyland Resort spokesperson Suzi Brown, who issued a statement that said "This morning, we inspected the Disneyland Resort Monorail and conducted the necessary safety checks. Everything was working properly; therefore, we have made the decision to continue to operate the Disneyland Resort Monorail."
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Austin Wuennenberg and his family, girlfriend, friends and co-workers.
