Any Updates on Test Track Redo?

Disney's official calendar says it is shut 1st June - 30th June

And yet we have this cast member closing party document

Would be nice if they stopped lying or being so quiet about the refurb.

HAHAHAHAHA. Sorry that just slipped out. :lookaroun

A 30 day refurb?!?!? LOL That's not enough time to do anything major.

That cast card reads so serious lol, like TestTrack is never coming back. Maybe they are doing a little more to the ride itself than we know, and not just queue work.

Clearly another example of how stellar the WDW website team is. :brick:

Disney is hardly being quiet about this refurb nor are they lying about it. They posted back in January on the Disney parks blog the ride would be closing sometime in april. Then they confirmed through the Orlando Sentinel that the ride was going down on April 16th and that was picked up by other news sources around the nation. And just recently Disney posted an advisory to ALL CMs that the attraction would be closing on the 16th so that their CMs across property could effectively communicate this information to guests.

Disney has hardly been lying about this refurb nor have they kept quiet. People need to learn the operational updates on the Disney Website aren't gospel and sometimes they need to dig a little deeper to get what they want. :hammer:

That's how the Calender works. It only updates a month at a time. Come July it'll say closed July 1st to 31st.

So it is longer than a 30 day refurb. And a other example of how unreliable the official Calender is.

That makes sense but it is inaccurate. If you go look at today's hours you will see the June refurb listed for TT. So if they only show it for 30 days at a time.... why show it at all today? They would show TT being closed April 16 to April 30 right now then next month they would show May 1 to May 31, then June 1 to June 30.

And the one for Lights Motor Action goes into two months.
Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show - Closed For Refurbishment [ Sunday, April 29 - Wednesday, May 02 ]

As well as BTMRR
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad - Closed For Refurbishment [ Sunday, April 01 - Sunday, May 27 ]

On Topic...

This is a pretty strange thing that is happening here. What is going on with this closure that is making it so hard to just set official dates and pass them on to the Web team, and the call center?

Take this to PMs. No one else is interested.

Thanks for being a beacon of hope to others. I have a hard time telling what the right thing to do is these days. I have to shuffle priorities between changing my Depends undergarments, and cleaning my false teeth. Thanks for putting me on the right path.

That's odd, considering that TT will be moving all it's CMs on April 16th. Will the attraction be operating sans cast members?

I agree. It is odd. In two days time we will likely see something happening at TT. I am simply pointing out that the "Official" dates have been posted and it says nothing about April.

I bet they update the calander on the day of closure (maybe even a week after) just so they don't reroute locales or those planning spontaneous trips from doing something else??

I know it sounds odd that someone would just go to epcot for test track...well maybe not so much.

If that's the case, it sure is disingenious

I know. I agree that TT will probably be closing in two days but then why are they "officially" announcing it for June? It just makes zero sense. :hammer:

Because the official Calender is notorious for being inaccurate, late, and plain wrong. This is par for the course.

Twist ditch or blocks?

Let's put up the blocks, ah, German and Belgian.

I'm just hoping this refurb doesn't get it's budget cut like SM, the ride could actually be exciting if it's a good, extensive refurb.
