Any sit down restaurant suggestions?

Going to be at DisneyWorld for a week for my honeymoon. The future wife and I would like to do at least one sit down. Does anyone have any good suggestions?

The singing Michael thing sounds like fun. As far as fancy, we are not really looking for anything too fancy. We will go through all the fancy stuff on our wedding day...DISNEY WORLD is going to just be pure fun!

One more thing, I keep hearing a whole lot about this Rain Forest Café...what types of food do they have there? Is it a buffest style? What about the price range?

Rainforest is OK but they are not exclusive to WDW. We have a few in our area so I usually skip it down there- up here they do have pretty good food (from burgers to pasta) but it is a noisy place. Between all the kids and the animal sound effects, if you want someplace where you can talk, I would pick someplace else. My husband boycotts the Cafe since they did away with their waffle fries

Thanks for all the wonderful posts guys. You lucky folks that have had the chance to go to Disney World on numerous occassions, are just that...lucky. I can't wait to go in June. Until then, I will continue to read my handy-dandy 251 page official Walt Disney World expert guide book and of course...frequent this wonderful site.

Thanks a million,
Buzz

Try the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club. Coral Reel at EPCOT. California Grill at the Contemporary. The restaurant at France (either one). The Brown Derby at MGM. Actually any of the suggestions that have been made are great Don't forget to call ahead for Priority Seating for any of the sitdown restaurants.
Have a great time.

Yeah, I'm the same way w/ the RFC. We have one down here, too, and I haven't been in a while b/c of the noise and crowds...plus I didn't feel so hot after I ate there last time...

If you feel like hiking out to Animal Kingdom Lodge, I would highly recommend Jiko for a romantic dinner. The food is very good and different from the norm (South African based), great ambience (I don't think too many children go there), and an impressive wine list (all South African wines). AKL also has a nice bar area, so you could head over to the hotel early, have a drink at the bar before dinner, and make an evening of it.

It's very hard to go wrong with any of the sit-down restaurants at WDW. One thing that might help determine where to eat is to think about what kinds of food you like, and try restaurants within that genre. Or, if you're adventurous, pick a cuisine that you've never had before.

One thing that nobody has mentioned in this thread yet (though it's mentioned all over various threads) is that, whichever restaurants you pick, make sure that you mention that you're on your honeymoon when you make the PS and again when you check in at the podium. You never know when you might get a surprise of Disney Magic!

Any sit down restaurant suggestions

Antoinebusby,

Congrats on you upcoming wedding.
My husband and I ate at Chefs de france( not the fancy one upstairs) We got to sit and see some of the fireworks, not the full view but it was really nice and not alot of $. The food was GREAT. Dont miss the onion soup!
The CMs were really nice. We lucked out. It was a last min. thing and we got right in with a good seat. It will be our 30th Ann. this July when we go and This is the only restaurant my husband cares about going to. To him its a must.
