Just wondering if anyone has heard if they might offer more Southern Caribbean cruises in 2015. I'd love to visit some of those ports!!

Tammy, the only dates we could possibly do the Southern this year is 10/11. I haven't been about to find out if the waters are choppy or if they can move around hurricanes. Does only 1 sea day mean only 1 chance for Palo? I'm also not sure I'm willing to part with my Fantasy Thanksgiving veranda for an inside Magic. I don't think I'm ever okay with my decision until I'm on the ship!! Our first cruise we booked VGT last minute but loved it!

I've got 10/4 booked right now!
The captains are really good about moving away from choppy waters. Sometimes they can't, but they really try. And more port days helps with that I think. It gives you a break on land if you need one.
One sea day means only one chance for brunch. There's still a chance for dinner every night though!
A verandah to an inside isn't fun, but the itinerary may make it worth it. :)

On our 5-night Magic in May 2012 we had Palo brunch on our Key West port day because all-ashore wasn't until like around 12:30. It seems like brunch on a port day is super rare. Have you heard of it other than when we did it? I wonder if on a sailing with not many at-sea days if there's a later all-ashore time will they squeeze in some brunch?

True! Sometimes a port day is short enough that they will treat it like a sea day and offer the brunch. I think I've seen it on Costa Maya days before, but not always.

Sweetpee and Disneyfalcon, do you two care about where you are located on the ship (aft, mid, forward)? Do you prefer one location over the others? I only had a problem with a headache the first night on the Dream but was fine after that. I'm not TOO concerned about sea sickness, just wondering if you make certain room choices.

Thanks Disney Fantasy!! I know mid ship is best for motion sickness and we will always go for it if available for that reason, but I know there are a lot of people that prefer other locations for different reasons. Just wondering if any of you like a certain location for a certain reason!!

@minbrad , personally I enjoy forward staterooms. Not front facing, just more forward. When seas are bigger I like the ride. The location in reference to theaters, shops, etc. is something I like better, too. On the newer ships my current favorite is the bump-out concierge level rooms followed by the 04Es that are forward of the forward elevators. On the classic ships I just like forward although it's not as much of a strong preference. Always prefer starboard over port side because I like the CC views better. I've had one of the aft-facing verandah rooms on the Fantasy and really did not like it for several reasons. I think that's the last place I ever want land again. But then again, there's some that absolutely adore it and seek out those rooms.

I found the deck 9 aft facing staterooms to have constant vibrating that was more noticeable than mid or forward rooms we've had. It was always noticeable when underway but some periods of time it was downright obnoxious. During the first night it was bad enough to keep me awake but then again any repetitive noise does that to me. Like a ticking clock. That grinds my brain in the worst way.
