Any other 'regulars' still look for new things to do each visit

I'm easy to please..a new bathroom each trip makes me happy! Really. I'm not kidding.

Best bathroom to use in the morning at DHS..... Lights, Motors, Action.... It's very quiet and Clean then....

I still think doing the tours could keep you busy for 5 or 6 trips... Behind the Seeds at EPCOT was inexpensive and entertaining for most age groups...

I found a few "hidden" gems on my last trip:

Magic of Animation drawing lessons are great fun, the backstage safari tour is really good but costs some serious $$$. I also really enjoy people watching at any park, it's not really an attraction lol But my mum and i grab a dole whip around 3pm at MK and sit down on a bench somewhere, normally in Adventureland, and watch the passing crowd. I have seen and heard some very interesting things. I am a bad person lol

Try taking a tour.
Keys to the Kingdom is excellent, and I always wanted to try the UnDISCOVER FutureWorld Tour.

If you're brave enough, try parasailing over Bay Lake/Seven Seas.

Undiscovered Future World is a brilliant tour, though you may get nostalgic for what Future World has become compared to what it was, but I got to operate a Universe of Energy animatronic dinosaur, so I was happy!

On the Bay Lake suggestions, renting a Sea Raycer boat from Fort Wilderness and whizzing around the lake, dodging the ferry boats and checking out the remains of Discovery Island was an amazing experience too.

We have family in apopka, so, we rarely stay on grounds, I think getting out and seeing more of Orlando and the surrounding area is something that would catch a lot of people's interest. We have gone to the natural history museum, the art galleries in Winter Park, and the restaurants in downtown Orlando.

The Richard Petty Driving Experience is something I've REALLY wanted to do since first finding out about it many years ago...I just can't afford the package I want...but one day!

Some great suggestions here guys, thanks. There really are so many things to do just like many have said, even 5 minutes research online will probably find you new experiences to try. As others have also said, there's loads of stuff outside of Disney to try. We're very lucky as we spend 3 weeks a year in Orlando about 40 minutes away at Grene Lefe near Haines City. We have numerous places we eat and shop at outside of Disney and always try to discover new none Disney things to do as well. Last year we were going to ride a swamp boat, however on the day it was planned I was ill so we had to put that on hold. Maybe this year though we'll do that and I've heard that the evening trips with the searchlights on the boat are really different and exciting. We're also hoping to go and see 'The Rich Weirdos' at the cinema on City Walk one night doing their midnight presentation of 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show'. It sounds really great fun and I've instructed Mrs Merg to pack her fishnets to wear to the show the night we attend. We've also said one time we're going to eat at the AMC 24 theatre at DD in the theatre where you can dine so that's another option for us to try as well. This year for the first time ever we're doing Halloween Horror Nights at Universal and two weeks today we'll be there and can hardly wait.

Over 40 years going and there's still new things to try and yet people still wonder why I 'keep going to the same place every year' :banghead:

I think they should be combined. Richard Petty AND golfing. The safari tour on horseback. Fishing with La Nouba. Now that would get me out of bed early.

This will sound sooooo nerdy...

We've gone at least a million times starting as children in the mid-70's. All these years later married and now taking my kids.

I like to look for "design". I am a professor and artist and I teach a lot of foundation design courses (color theory..etc.). This is the fun stuff to look for.

Examples:
How does Disney transition you from Frontierland to Adventureland? What are the color palettes of Main Street? What do those colors evoke?

I'm working on a fairly large research project where I am going to get to teach a First Year Seminar at my University on the Design of Disney. So I am now going to the parks and looking for specific things. I'm also thinking about putting it online and see if any of the online Disney community wants to join in.

I'll keep you posted!

No not nerdy at all (well ok, maybe just a tad :)). You sound like you love your job teaching and I think it's great that you're combining it with your love for Disney, please do let us know how you get on. My dad is a retired Professor himself, was involved in maths and philosophy. As a child he took us most years to Florida as he was able to get 'work' lecturing in Orlando for a day or so through his university in England so we went a lot.

We've never stayed on site. Not once. It would be nice to do just one time. We have a time share 2 miles down the road, so that's why we've never done it. Also, have never been to Downtown Disney at WDW. Just Disneyland. I don't know why, maybe it was because of the amount of other things to do at WDW where as Disneyland has the two parks and then Downtown Disney,.

I haven't been to downtown disney in the last six months, but, the shops are fun to browse. I LOVE the fine art store, the Christmas store, the Candy Cauldron. And, the Earl Of Sandwich is pretty darn good. I would like to try Fulton's, the pineapple place, and Wolfgang Puck Express...
