Probably DNS (domain name resolution). You see the domain name wdwmagic.com gets translated to an internet address (IP) and this change is propagated down the Internet DNS heirarchy.. The IP is used for your computer to connect with other computers online. It's how computers on the net communicate back and forth (by sending different types of packets to and fro IP addresses). Anyway some DNS servers around the world don't update DNS changes as fast as others right away, so depending on the random route the Internet shifted your request to go to wdwmagic.com.. you may still have been looking toward the old dead IP address or been shifted around extra to find the new destination IP. This slows down contacting the wdwmagic website. Since Internet routes change all the time, I'm betting sometimes you get a more direct route to the new website IP and othertimes it takes a more roundabout route to find it making things slower. You can see what route you are visiting a website by opening a command prompt in windows and typing in

tracert forums.wdwmagic.com

It should show you all the hops you took along the net to reach a particular website. Check it hours or days later and the route may be totally different.

Sorry about the geek answer if I lost anyone. :)

I couldn't come here for like 10 days, I have alot of other places on the internet, but still. All I could do was access the front page using the IP address and that was ultra slow and downloads didn't work either.
