make sure to get 1st timer buttons from the hotel reception or guest services, I had a birthday button last time we went it was really nice when characters and cast members wished me happy birthday, also at the Chip & Dale meet and greet they got the whole line to sing happy birthday to me, very magical moment :)

Immerse yourself into the experience! Pull the rope at Indiana Jones (Hollywood Studios), sing in the rain under the umbrella (Hollywood Studios), touch everything at the interactive queues (Haunted Mansion and Peter Pan's Flight in Magic Kingdom), try the different sodas from around the world (EPCOT). And don't forget that iced tap water at any quick service location is free - just ask!

WondersOfLife

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.
A few underrated attractions that are great for the little ones! (And hardly much of a wait time, unless its a show!)

MK-
Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor Comedy Club
Tomorrowland PeopleMover
Mickey's Philarmagic
Tom Sawyer Island

EPCOT-
Turtle Talk with Crush
Kidkot Fun Stops
(Go to any of the countries and pick up a free mask. Your kids can decorate it, and then get a stamp at all of the countries to put on the stick portion of the mask, as well as a tag at each country. I used to do this when I was little every time I went to EPCOT! It's awesome and free)
Ellen's Energy Adventure (45 minute slow moving ride in air conditioning. Come here when your feet are exhausted from walking around Epcot)

Hollywood Studios-
Disney Junior Live on Stage
Voyage of the Little Mermaid

Animal Kingdom-
Finding Nemo The Musical

Start early and leave early. Get to the parks before they open so you can enjoy the first hour or so with no crowds. This is a great way for first timers to SEE the parks as well as to avoid long lines at the most popular attractions.

Pack lightly for the parks. You don't need to lug around gallons of water (and food) for five people.

And keep in mind that kids who you think (or who insist themselves) have already outgrown a stroller might want/need one.

Do not push it to see everything. Take a rest or nap in the afternoon, then go back for a fireworks show. Make fast pass reservations on the attractions you want to ride on for each day you are there. The Disney Dining Plan will save you money. We usually get the Quick service plan with one or two reservations for sit down dining. Quick service allows you to change your itinerary at the last moment where the others need reservations and lock you into a time and place.

Our first trip was in 2014. At the time our child was 7. It can be overwhelming for everyone. Sometimes it was nice just to go back to the room and nap. My mother in law had brought a foot bath and man that felt nice. I recommend Epsom salt soak at night bc it really helped me wipe the stress and soreness of the days away.

Most Importantly, have fun!
I took my sons to WDW for their first time when they were 6 years old. I get goose bumps thinking about it.
Take it in through the eyes of your children.
Do it for them, with them, enjoying their sense of wonder and the rewards will be even greater.

The only "rush" type advice I will give you is do get to the parks when they open.
You'll be glad you did.
It'll seem tough to get out so early, but you and the little ones will be able to take in so much more without the crowds. Crowds not only increase the stress, but they block visibility - especially to little ones.

Break up your day as others have said with a trip back to your hotel (particularly if it's hot) with a return visit in the evening.
Fast Pass.
Don't miss Wishes or Fantasmic.

Thanks!!!
I'm a bit worried about my stress level now! I hope i wont be too stressed out!!! We are on holiday!!!!
Honestly, I don't think you need to worry. Once you step foot into those Parks, it seems all the stress and worries fades away. I think that is why so many people become hooked. We are locals and go every weekend for that very reason...it's kind of like therapy.

Also, so many people get stressed out about hitting that FastPass time right on the money at the start of the window and when we see that they are early, they seem to stress out about it. You have an hour window, you can arrive at anytime within that hour.

I think if I were you, my feelings would be of total excitement about now!!!:) I think the only stress that I would have is catching that plane on time...which I stress over all the time! I think as soon as you arrive at the welcoming sign on Disney property, you now have entered a different World. I'm excited for you...have a wonderful trip!
