We plan on resort hopping a little bit this next trip and we might have a couple hours one night after dark. Are there any resorts that are especially interesting or pretty after dark?
Boardwalk maybe? Any others?
Thanks

My favorite hotel to be at during later hours is definitely The Boardwalk because they have an incredible amount of night life including the Boardwalk Games, street performers, shopping, and restaurants. In my opinion it is a must visit.

Thank you, didn't know they had all this. This is the one we sort of figured would be a good one to check out, sounds good.
Do you know, is all of this available til late or same as park hours usually?

Edited- Never mind, I just checked, I didn't realize this was considered a destination with its own hours listed on Disney's website.

Wilderness Lodge is absolutely lovely at night....there is a huge fireplace in the lobby and it create a very warm and cozy feeling. Enjoy a nice dinner at Artist Point and then soak in the ambiance of the WL lobby. Grab a rocking chair near the fireplace or sink into a cozy chair anywhere else. Take a walk outdoors along the outdoor paths but be sure to bring bug repellent. Enjoy!

If you check out the Poly, GF, Contemporary, WL, or FWC in the evening around 9-10 pm you can catch the Electric Light Pagent from the beaches at the respective resorts. It is quaint and has been running since WDW opened but we enjoy ending the day with this when we are at WDW. I can tell you that it reaches the FWC beach around 9:45 at night

Thanks for the replies everyone, now I have choices :)
Thanks for the pics @Buzz2001 We paid to stay at CSR last time I went with my daughter, we got upgraded so didn't stay there, not that I'm complaining, but we still really want to stay there. It's just more our style.

Disney does a amazing job with lighting.
The Resorts benefit greatly from this and really have different feels and moods from day to night.
2 stand out for me however.

The Polynesian feels extra tropical and mysterious at night, with the very subdued lighting and tiki torches used perfectly.

And there's no place anywhere on WDW property that changes it's personality more from day to night than the Boardwalk.
During the day it's an extremely quiet & peaceful location, with the occasional people, bike, or boats moving by.
I often stay at the Villas with a Boardwalk view, and many times I've watched from above and there hasn't been one single person within 100 yards below me. The classic Boardwalk themed background music is very easy to hear.
That is simply unthinkable after the sun goes down, where the ramped up energy is undeniable, and the colorful views amazing.
It really is a crazy contrast.

Yes you may want to check out:

Animal Kingdom Lodge and Kidani Village are great especially as the sun goes down when you can see many of the animals on the savannah due to the cooler temperatures. The main lobby at the Jambo house is always filled with action due to the dining options and the beautiful lounge perfect for a drink and some people watching. Also there is a small room of to the side of the front desk where story telling and educational demonstrations are held.

Coronado Springs is wonderful place at night! In fact some may say night is the time when this resort comes alive and shines. There a club for dancing and drinks, a lake side lounge for drinks, snacks and gazing at the stars. A trail that surrounds the lake for a nice stroll and great little places to pick up a quick bite or a sit down dinner

The Crescent Lake resorts are all beautiful at night especially since they are all lit up and the lake waters reflections enhance their glow. There is a lot of action with the publics foot traffic as well as the boats zipping back and forth between the resorts and parks! Plus the major bonus of the Boardwalk which has many activities that include shopping dining, live entertainment, clubs and games can keep you entertained for an evening or two.

Fort Wilderness is a cute place to venture at night even if you had no plans or ADR's for the Hoop de Doo Review. On certain nights there are campfire gatherings, barbecues and even hay rides. Also not so far away by a brisk hike or boat ride is the Wilderness Lodge which also has some added dining options and entertainment possibilities.

No trip is complete without a visit to the Monorail loop resorts which are all so different from one another that they make you feel like you have actually traveled to another place while only taking a short trip on the Monorail. There are wonderful views of the Magic kingdom from each of the resorts as well as chance encounters with the charming Water Pageant on the seven seas lagoon Each resort has dining, shopping, and other entertainment offerings so if something doesn't interest you its easy to find something that does.
