Are we aloud to make requests?!?!

I know y'all are getting tired of my constant begging for Contemporary Resort updates. Any new pics or news about the progress of the new shop in the concourse??? Pretty, pretty please with pixie dust on top???

:D

Here is an image I took on Sunday, Oct. 21, my first day at WDW at the start of my week-long vacation. I took the photo on the outside of the fourth floor.

I was told by a monorail cast member that this new construction site is expected to be 14 stories tall, give or take, with two "C-shaped" wings.

I immediately thought of the initials A and C -- Adventurer's Club -- since the main Contemporary resort is an A-frame.

BTW, anyone else think the foundation looks kind of... small?

Funny you should say that...I was looking at the computer generated picture posted on another thread, and it looks from that like it will dwarf the old A-frame structure. Looking at the current foundation, the new structure looks like it could be much smaller than originally anticipated - not like they changed it, more like the rendering was not correct.

I'm not sure anymore.... I know it's supposed to be 15 stories, but looking at the foundation last week (and the pictures here and on the home computer)... I'm just not sure how many rooms they are going to be able to fit onto a floor.

I haven't read any information about a speculative number of rooms here, has anyone else?

I'm in the home building industry and buyers always think their foundation is smaller than it should be. They often come in thinking we must have made a mistake.

I think its an optical illusion. One framing on the Contemp.DVC starts rising I think we will get a better perspective.

It still baffles me how such a big project can be so far underway and still have no "Official" anouncement from Disney. I understand their logic because they dont want to effect sales at SSR & AKLV but really its getting a little to large to ignore!

You make a great point. I too thought my foundation looked a bit small for 3200 sq. ft on the 1st floor.

We have decided on the wait and see for the CR DVC, If it happens we will likely buy in there.

Isn't the first floor actually a parking garage and valet area with a an overhang? Then the subsequent levels are overhung on the outer edge, with the 4th floor being the real hub of the building, connecting to the tower, and then another spire at the top?
