So we are just 1 week from our trip on Jan 15 for 6 nights at the Contemporary Resort in a MK view room! This is the first time we have gone Deluxe Dining so there are quite a few places we haven't tried before. On our last trip we went to the California Grill and it was just so excellent we decided this time we wanted more signature dining.

Did I pick any misses? Not much time left to try to make changes!
We plan to do MOST breakfasts as snacks or QS Tonga Toast at POLY :)

The Wave...of American Flavors - lunch
Artist Point - dinner

Chef Mickey's - late breakfast
The Hollywood Brown Derby - dinner

Tusker House Restaurant - lunch
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue - dinner

Coral Reef Restaurant - lunch
Rose & Crown Pub & Dining Room - dinner & illuminations

Le Cellier Steakhouse - lunch
Narcoossee's - dinner and Wishes

Grand Floridian Café - lunch
California Grill -dinner

The Crystal Palace - lunch

The Wave...of American Flavors - lunch
Trying it in June...

Artist Point - dinner
AP is our favorite! Make sure you get the smoky Portabello soup.

Chef Mickey's - late breakfast
One of our family traditions.

The Hollywood Brown Derby - dinner
The Cobb salad and grapefruit cake are great.

Tusker House Restaurant - lunch
This was a real disappointment for us. Food was blah, and the characters were very disappointing.

Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue - dinner
Going to try it when DS is older.

Coral Reef Restaurant - lunch
Food is very hit and miss. The atmosphere is among the best.

Rose & Crown Pub & Dining Room - dinner & illuminations
Love the R&C! The potato leek soup is great. DH loves the shepherd's pie. The sticky toffee cake is yummy.

Le Cellier Steakhouse - lunch
This used to be a never miss. The menu changes combined with an unfortunate bout of food poisoning took this one off our list.

Narcoossee's - dinner and Wishes
Honestly hated Narcoossee's. The food was overpriced and overrated. Our Wishes view table was obstructed by the people with non Wishes view seats standing in front of our window.

Grand Floridian Café - lunch
A hidden gem! I really can't suggest switching this to breakfast enough. It was the best breakfast I've ever had at WDW. Get the citrus pancakes.

California Grill -dinner
Trying it in June...

The Crystal Palace - lunch
Breakfast is good. Never had lunch here.

I'm gonna make a couple of suggestions based on my experiences. You are missing the two best signatures at WDW - Flying Fish and Yachtsman. I'd cancel Le Cellier and Narccoossee's, move Brown Derby to the Le Cellier lunch spot, and add Flying Fish and Yachtsman to replace Narccoossee's and Brown Derby dinners.

Have fun!

Thanks for the comments folks! I'll see if I can swap a couple things but with the whole credit card required thing and the system complaining I already have a reservation I think I'll need to call if I really want to change anything. I don't want to cancel something then find I can't make a new reservation!!

I'll try to take pictures and post them but all I bring is my iPhone so who knows how good the pictures will be...

Looks like an all star line up to me, the only one we have not tried is Artist Point but I have heard great things. We absolutely love Narcoossee's and have mostly only heard positive feedback. Beautiful view and small quiet setting. The surf and turf was fabulous. And since you are using dining plan, price is not a factor. I was not totally impressed with The Wave but we were there for dinner. We did Brown Derby years ago before it was upgraded to a signature restaurant. The only other sig I would absolutely recommend is Jiko's in AKL.

Have a magical trip!

We ALWAYS do Le Cellier for lunch. Hoop Dee Doo is so much fun! We are doing Cali Grill for the first time in the spring as well as Tusker House, but for breakfast instead of lunch.

Some other recommendations (and some other folks have already mentioned a few) are 'Ohana for dinner and Crystal Palace for breakfast. We like CP better than Chef Mickey's for breakfast and it's a plus if you can get an 8am ressie, then you are in the park an hour early (on a non EMH morning)

I've heard very mediocre things about Coral Reef. We were looking to add it to our itinerary in the spring but with the reviews, we left it off and are going with Via Napoli instead which we enjoyed last time we were there.

Good luck and enjoy wherever you decide to dine! :slurp:

Grand Floridian Café - lunch

I can only comment on the one's I've done.

Coral Reef - you can always ask the hostess if a seat is available by the glass. We asked if we could and wouldn't mind waiting a little longer. Not even 5 minutes later the guy came out and told us we'd be seated in the SPLASH ZONE. The seats were excellent. I know it won't work every time but it's worth a shot. The food - if they have Swordfish = get it. Fantastic!!

Le Cellier - phenominal. Love the filet w/the cream cheese mashed potatoes. One of the best things I've ever eaten in my life. Consistently good.

Grand Floridian Cafe - really enjoyed it. Not crowded at all. Really loved the whole resort and we had a table by a window so we were looking out into a courtyard = gorgeous. Food was good - not jaw dropping amazing but good.

Narcoosses - Now we've never actually eaten here but it's on our list for the next trip. The menu looks great and the reviews are good too. And as I said - I love the Grand Floridian as it is so it's a good pick for me!
