There isn't much guess work needed to know what's going to happen to the old entrance: It will be the new CM entrance and mostly filled in with parking...

Guess I'll make my prediction for what is next. I think Launch Bay closes in early 2020. It will be reimagined with a Pixar franchise.

Either The Incredibles if they don't go to Future World,

Monsters Inc, or

Nemo. Basically transplanted from The Seas pavilion.

I think Launch may stay open longer because a lot of the things in there wouldn't make sense to be in GE.

The Nemo ride doesn't make much sense without the aquarium tanks behind it and there is no way they are going to spend the money to re-create those.

They only need to be so wide. Windows on the back with projection screens and magically you have the open ocean.

Sort of like the new space restaurant.

The Living Seas needs a reboot and this would make it possible.

I can make a strong case for Monsters and Incredibles also.

They may keep Launch Bay open longer to re-direct Star Wars people who can't get into GE because it's too crowded, and I wouldn't be surprised if they do other things in Launch Bay to keep fans happy while they wait to get into GE.

Last we heard from our insiders is that there are constantly changing plans and nothing is greenlit. Sure, Star Tours will go away, but rethemed or replaced with what and when is ????
dern.. with the influx of crowds coming a simple retheme is the last thing needed. I can’t believe they still haven’t come up with a plan for animation courtyard or echo lake

My guess is a Carsland (but not the one from DCA), mainly because they can do it pretty cheaply. They’re already creating the show, they can easily retheme RnRC into something Cars, and then add LRR and a restaurant in the area next to Animation Courtyard (which would still allow for Animation courtyard itself to be rethemed into something else later on). Not that this plan would particularly excite me, but it’s just the type of thing I can very well see them doing.
