Any adults ever "cry" when leaving Walt Disney World?

Was dreading our final evening in the MK last November, as we knew we wouldn’t be back over the pond for a while.
As we slowly made our way up Maine Street, we were both trying to be grown up about it, until we stopped just before the tunnels & turned round for one final view of the castle & Christmas decorations.
Huge lump in throat moment for me & I’m sure something flew into my eyes as they both started to water a little bit ;-).
We quickly walked through the tunnel & agreed that we would be back soon & sure enough we are booked to back in November 2014.

I invariably choke up when I visit the first Park of the trip. Last year and the eighteenth visit was the first time I choked up leaving, the resort was Pop Century and not the nicest place we've stayed at but my daughter and I had a fab time there. My next and possibly last visit is at the end of October, I'm just getting too old to get as much as I should from these trips now and the heat immobilizes me too. It's right what they say, getting older ain't fer sissies: - )

Art of Animation here we come.

Our last trip (which was also our very first) in June 2008, there were many kids crying on the Magical Express on the way back to the airport.

My boyfriend (who was 30 at the time) shed a couple of tears on the bus as well.

Any other adults who experience sadness leaving WDW?

:(

Yup - but not so that anyone would see.

We go yearly, but I always shed a tear as I walk into the MK for the first time of that visit and I always shed a tear as we close the hotel room door when we leave.

Never leaving. My only concern is if I will ever make it back.

However, after a 14 year gap in between trips I got a little teary eyed and chocked up as we walked into MK on the first day. The music hit me plus it was the first trip for my two daughters. Of course nobody noticed

We need time for things to happen.
I'm a pretty emotional dude, However I've never been affected by leaving or coming to WDW in this way at all.

I do cry a little when I write that check to pay for the vacation. Does that count?

I don't cry but I get VERY cranky. To the point I stop talking for a few hours and just sulk. This year even though we're leaving Disney to go to Universal for the second half of my vacation I got extremely upset and slept the whole day when we got to the other hotel.

For our trip next year we're doing Universal first then moving on to Disney so when I leave I can sleep the sadness off on the flight back.

I have only been once and the time I was there I cried like a baby, for many reasons. One I had never been, I was a 20 year old who had never been there and I upset that I didn't get to experience it as a kid. Two because I went for the very first time with people that RUINED the trip and all of the disappointment/anger/anxiety had built up and came out in the form of tears during our last night at MK. Three because my almost-husband cried during wishes because he missed his dad, who passed away when he was 11 and they used to go twice a year together. And finally because despite all the drama (I had nothing to do with the drama I was just on the sidelines and the trip was terrible because of it) with almost-husbands family during the trip I was still so in love with WDW and wanted to go back with just him. This January we are doing a just us two trip and I cry thinking about how much fun its going to be. I imagine I will cry again on this trip but only because of happiness and sadness for leaving!

I have... I have also during Wishes or Illuminations because I see families and I know someday I'll be there with my own kids. No little ones yet in my life.

I get sad when it is time to leave but never have cried. I always cry a bit when I get to Disney on check-in. You see when I get to Disney it is like a wish and dream come true and a place and time where I feel like a kid again and just can cut loose and unwind from life awhile.
