Another unfair question

My best Disney Trip would have to be the one I took in the summer of '04. My grandparents took me on a Disney Cruise as my early high school graduation present, and we had an absolutely FABULOUS time.

Then, after the cruise, my grandparents bought me an AP and we spent a month in Florida and went to WDW every day! It was absolutely magical.

I'll have to break it down for each Disney Parks:

WDW: November 2003 (first time). DH and I were on our honeymoon and he'd only been to MK once when he was a teenager. But that was it. It was truly a wonderful vacation. That's why we're planning on going back in this December!!! :xmas:

DLR: I was basically raised at DLR. I've been numerous times but my favorite time (besides going with my DH for our first time together back in September 2005), was when I went to DLR with my family back in '88 or '89. It was during the 35th Anniversary of DLR.

Tough call as every time I have gone it has been very memorable in some way, but if I have to narrow it down it is either time time I went for my 14th brithday or the first time I went with my boyfriend.

Of course my birthday was memorable and one of the best trips I have had, simply because it was my birthday, but besides that it was my first time visiting Disney at any time besides the summer (my birthday is in January). It was also quite nice to miss almost two weeks of school ;), go to my favourite place in the world with my parents and my best friend too, and be out of the cold winter for much warmer Florida! Will also never forget going to the Grand Floridian for breakfast the morning of my birthday and having all the characters come over to my table with a cupcake with a candle in it and have everyone singing...as embarassed as I was a the time it was pretty cool looking back.

As for the other favourite time, first visit with my boyfriend, it was just completely and utterly amazing. Nothing like going away for a week and a half with someone you are so in love with and sharing such a magical place with them for the first time! :)

That really is a tough question. All of my trips have been awesome and seeing my kids reactions to WDW are memories that I will never forget.

That said, I think I need to pick September of 1991. We spent our honeymoon in a MK view room at GF. Every trip other than that one was the typical fast-paced, see everything you can trip. On our honeymoon, we took our time to enjoy the little details of the parks. It was a so much more relaxing that way.

My Senior Trip, March 2004 was my most unforgettable trip I have ever had to the world. Being with all of your bestfriends, and classmates at the happiest place on earth is truely an unbelievable experience. I never cried so much after a trip to the world, like I did when I got home from this trip. None of my friends knew everything about wdw like I did or understood the meaning and magic like I understood it, so I was the tour guide to everything in the group. The very first day when our bus pulled up to Epcot, we walked off, I started running to the entrance and everyone in our group was just running and trying to catch up to me...it was so funny lol. Medieval Times was so much fun, there were a few high schools there, so they made an announcement and introduced each high school one by one, and they try to cheer louder than one another. (Now our HS class was VERRRY large) They saved our school for last bc they knew the cheer was gonna be crazy. As soon as they announced Washington Twp. High School from NJ, everyone got up and started cheering so loud, we blew them all away. Our school alone, took up both sides of the restaurant lol. That was such a cool memory. As I am thinking back on this amazing trip, I am holding back tears because of how much fun we all had. It seems like it was just yesterday, and time really does fly fast. So we must keep memories like these, in our hearts forever.

But my most favorite would have to be November 1995. It was just me, my mom, and my sister. I was 10, sister was 12. We stayed at All Star Sports for the first time, when it was basically brand new. Out of all the photo albums we have, i always grab that one to look at the pictures. It was a special trip for me, because my parents had just gotten divorced so it was our first girls trip...and it was a rough time for us all. Every morning, we had a character breakfast at one of the resorts, MGM, and MK...and i LOVE character breakfasts! That trip will always be my favorite.

my best trip has to be March 2004 as well. My sister and I took my 87 year old grandma. She was amazed...like a child. It was wonderful! Little did we know it at the time but that was the last time she would be healthy and she passed away in September of the same year. We were truly blessed to get to see her so happy one more time!

Surprising the kids

That's an easy question...April 2007 we took both our kids as a surprise. I still don't know how we pulled it off, but they thought they were taking me to the airport for a business trip. We got them all the way to the gate and they had no clue. :veryconfu

Once at the gate we asked them if they would like to go with me. We actually had to convince my daughter we were really going! She finally believed us when we handed her carryon to her. Our son was ready to go when we first mentioned it (he had never been, he had only been a member of the family for a year and half - he was 8 at the time of the trip)

Their reaction to the trip and the magic of the entire trip was awesome. It was the first trip our daughter had taken to WDW that she was actually interested in something other than the Magic Kingdom. She finally grasped the entire WDW experience and all the magic that goes with it. Our son was just in awe.:dazzle:

It was an awesome trip we will never forget!:sohappy:

Dec 2006 was my Sons first trip and the special part was when we went thru the main gate @ the Magic Kingdom telling him this is his and he hugged me said "thank you Daddy".

My 2004 trip is the one that really got me hooked on Disney. I mean I loved Disney after I went the first time in '97, but I had anticipated my trip in '04 so much, and it turned out to be amazing, and sort of changed my life in a way.

Probably my best trip ever was as a young'un in late '83 -- shortly after Horizons had opened at EPCOT Center. Everything in EPCOT blew me away, but especially Journey Into Imagination, World of Motion, and Spaceship Earth. The lines were crazy (we had to wait just to get into The Land pavilion), but we all had a wonderful time. We visited EPCOT first, and I didn't even want to go to the MK afterward -- I just wanted to stay in EPCOT the second day, and the third...

My second best trip -- and best as an adult -- was for Epcot's 25th. It was terrific just being in the park for the occasion, but there were also tons of other memorable experiences throughout WDW: MNSSHP (with a truly fantastic parade and HalloWishes), the top-notch new HM, doing EE for the first time, experiencing the Food & Wine Festival for the first time. I could go on and on...

OK I was 1st @ WDW in 1977. I was only 1. don't remember a thing.

One of my favs was when I went in 1991 with my Dad and his family. I only got to go to MK. I remember it was the first time, and it seemed so real to finally be there. Being my first trip that I could remember, this made it all the more special.

Another fav was in 1996 when then recently married wife and I spent the weekend in DL. It was the first time we experienced the magic together. I will always remember that trip.

Aug of 2006 is my favorite so far. It was the first time for both kids then 7 and 8. It was our first family vacation of that magnitude. It was my first time at Epcot, DHS, and DAK.

Nov 2007 is promising to be another runner up. We're taking my Mom who hasn't been in 30 years since the trip I first mentioned.(when I was 1) I know she always wanted to take us kids when we were younger,( or at least old enogh to remember) so I am happy to be able to take her instead. I know she is looking forward to EE and ToT with DD10 and TT with DS8.

In one way, I would consider this past April trip to be our best, since it was the first time on property, enjoying all that such an experience has to offer. We got the dining plan and enjoyed a table service meal every evening, so in that respect, it definitely beat our honeymoon trip in 2003 and our 2004 trip when we stayed 10 days in the Super 8 down the road in Kissimmee.

However, in another way, I tend to see our 2003 honeymoon trip as our best one. To a large extent because we had just gotten married and it was my first time back to MK in 3 years, my first time back to Epcot since 1987 and my first time period for the others, and Sea World and Busch Gardens. It was my first road trip with my new wife and it was just a special time, even though our motel was nothing fancy. It was her first time at any of this...she had never done a theme park before. Even when they went to Dollywood, they didn't do the theme park part of it.

It was a bit more relaxing than our last trip (even though for a commando like me you can only get so "relaxed" LOL) and we just enjoyed each other and enjoyed where we were. And no matter how much more fun or enjoyable any future on property trip may be, I can still look where I'm at at remember when we did these things together for the first time on our honeymoon and how special that was.

I would have to repeat myself again. The trip we took last September was perfect... how better to start a trip than crying to "Promise/We'll Go On" before checking into the resort... and then to have the perfect proposal within the first few hours at Partners.

Next trip, next September will be just as magical... honeymoon... need I say more?

I'd have to say my best was Oct 1999. It was just a long-long weekend, but is was really magical.

We went with a group, and we had a really good travel agent who booked us during the premier of Tapestry of Nations. She also managed to get us into Jamaica at CBR, which IMO is really the best place to be at that resort. The crowds were light, too.

At Epcot during the premier running of ToN, I can't remember ever being in such awe in my whole life (except maybe my first 14 July in Paris under the tour Eiffel, or when I first saw St. Michel, or seeing my bride walk down the isle, but even those times were different). DD6 and I got filmed playing with the big, tall stick people in the parade. They said it was for the advertising promotion videos that would be before Wonderful World and on the Disney channel and other venues to promote the millenium celebration, but if we made the final cut, we never saw it or heard about it from anyone. It was fun hamming it up for the cameras, though.

My DDs were 6 and 2. DD6 had been to DLP when she was 3. When I was planning which parks to visit when and getting ADRs (PSs back then) I asked DD6 what she remembered most and liked best about DLP. Out of all the things we did there, she said the most exciting thing she remembered was that Goofy came over and shook her hand while we were eating in Pizza Planet:lol:. So I basically planned the weekend around character meals, and what a good idea that turned out to be!

DD6 bought a crown at PoC the first day, and wore it everywhere the whole trip. DD2 was just starting to talk, and didn't shut up the whole weekend - look at this, look at that over there, can we go on such-and-such please - and she talked to the characters a mile a minute. They were both really cute and charming, and the characters spent a lot of time with us.

One night we got babysitting and went out to DtD. Ate at Bongos when it still had a floor show and wasn't yet a big latin disco meat market. There was a Desi Arnez impersonator there who was really, really good. Saw Christina Aguilera at PI in her first large-scale public appearance. You could tell she was a bit nervous (she said she was nervous, in fact), but her performance was top-notch (this was before she was all racy and such).

The babysitter turned out to be a really good one. Took them to the playground, dinner at the food court (they chose burger buckets) and then to the beach to play in the sand, then back to the room for games and Disney videos. They were asleep when we got back (we stayed for the then-nightly new year's eve stage show and fireworks at midnight), but by their report the next morning, they had a better time than we did!

Altogether a magical trip for all!
