No end to stupidity. Poor kid. How could anybody ever treat a child this way?

Oh this is just too much. 
What the hell is wrong with people. Good Lord. That poor boy. Here's hoping he can turn out okay in spite of all this. My prayers are definitely with him tonight.

You know what really bothers me? I always read about this kind of stuff and it just kills me that these freaks have children (sometimes many) and my wife and I are infertile
But then I think, that if the fertility docs can't fix us, that maybe by adopting a child I might just save it from a monster.
Sorry, these stories just really hit me hard.

And not that you need yet ANOTHER story (I am sure you get plenty), but my dad's cousins finally adopted from Korea after being told they were absolutely 100% unable to have children. A few years later, guess who got pregnant

My wife just told me that happens all the time... she said "It seems like as soon as you adopt, you get pregnant" - strange huh?
We are considering Russia (or one of the "formerly known as" states in that area) or possibly China to adopt from.
Another thing kind of funny about the adoption option is that one of my sisters keeps telling me I *must* adopt from China -- because "just think, the child you adopt would probably never see Disney World if not for you!" and then she starts listing some of the problems some chinese orphans face as if the fate of all the children in China rests upon my shoulders.
Though I did have one disturbing conversation with my father. He has a strange sense of humor, the kind that makes you think "Is he joking, or is he perhaps that stupid?" He told me "Hey if you adopt a baby from russia it would be great to have it teach my other grandchildren Russian when it can talk".
He must have been joking, I am too intelligent to have been swimming in the same gene pool as someone that dumb
Thanks again for the good wishes! My wife and I are going to a fertility clinic after we celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary this month at -- where else? Walt Disney World! -- maybe next year we will have a little Lovecraft or Lovecraftette in tow (possibly baby talking in chinese or russian)
