Trip Report Another Holiday, Trip Report - Dec 2018

Hello Friends!

It was about 3 months ago when I started my last trip report, which was our Alaskan Cruise trip on the Disney Wonder. Our last trip to WDW was exactly a year ago, so it has been a while (by our standards) since our last visit there.

Right now, we are only a few hours away from taking off to the Most Magical Place on Earth. A lot has happened since we were last there, the biggest one of which is, of course, the opening of Toy Story Land. Yup, we have Fast Passes for Slinky Dog! We also have Fast Passes for Flight of Passage, Mine Train, etc.. etc. So we will be on all the E-Ticket rides. We also have Fast Passes for Illuminations, since this will probably be the last time we will be seeing my most favorite nighttime show in all of WDW. It will probably be an emotional goodbye, I'm sure.

Tomorrow, we will be doing the Wanyama Safari for the 2nd time. The last time we did this was back in 2013. Back then, only guests staying at AKL got a chance to do this. We haven't done it again since, but that will change with this trip. So we are looking forward it. Later in the trip, we will do a "Sleigh Ride" at Fort Wilderness. It will be a fun way to look at all the holiday decorations that Disney guests staying there have put up. And of course, we will be attending a MVMCP. I wonder how many ginger molasses cookies I can consume in one evening?

As usual, Donald is all dressed in his elfs outfit, ready to go.

I will try to report live as much as I can from there. But right now, I need to go around the house to make sure I haven't forgotten anything! We leave for the airport in an hour!

Good morning!

This appears to be another perfect-looking day at WDW, except for the chilly start.

We had a lovely time at DHS yesterday, especially getting to ride Slinky Dog for the first time. The theming was definitely exceptional. I just wish the ride itself was longer, because it was a lot of fun. We sat at the very front, which was not the most ideal location. I'll edit and put up the video of the ride once we get home.

The worst part about yesterday was crowd flow at the end. Due to all the construction and blocked-off areas, everyone exiting DHS (except those taking the boat) had to pass through a constriction in front of the park entrance. It was very slow-moving and quite annoying.

I know this is a temporary problem and something we have to live with during construction. So if you plan on staying till the end, either give yourself plenty of time, plenty of patience, or just stay inside the park for an hour until the crowd thins out.

And oh, counter service food offering at DHS still sucks.

Good morning!

Another lovely morning here at the Most Magical Place on Earth. It promises to be warmer today. If it is anywhere near like yesterday, then it will be perfect.

Today, we will have a late start. Chilling out at the resort during the first half of the morning, and then hopping over to DS to do some shopping. Then, after lunch, we'll head on over to Epcot. We plan on staying till the evening, and watch Illuminations for the very last time. I know that it will be very emotional, much like the last time I saw Wishes.

We have one more full day tomorrow before we fly back early Monday morning. I can't believe that this trip is almost over! :(
