The hallway/lounge area is where I was issued my costume for the TIA-POW WOW festivities at Epcot at some point between Feb.-Aug 01.

It was a special event where all of Epcot closed at 4:00 and travel agents and others in the industry came in and visited all of the countries. AA had watermelon, the fountain full of American beer, and little chicken legs instead of turkey legs.

When I got my costume I didn't notice any construction going on. I don't remember any of the things in the pictures of the lounge(paintings, pictures, etc.) there then. Of course it was full of special costumes for each country, ride, show, store for all of Epcot.

Passholder lounge debuts in The Land at Epcot
on: 02/12/2002

A new private lounge in The Land pavilion at Epcot is giving Walt Disney World Annual and Seasonal passholders a new reason to visit the theme park.

The lounge, open daily from 11 a.m.-7 p.m., features a quiet sitting area overlooking portions of the Living with the Land boat ride, a children's play area, a business center with fax and telephone services, complimentary coffee and soft drinks, restroom facilities and more.

Guest Relations Cast Members are available in the lounge to make priority-seating arrangements at Epcot table-service restaurants, all of which are offering a 10 percent weekday-lunch discount for passholders. The lunch-discount offer is valid for the passholder and as many as three guests. The discount isn't valid on alcoholic beverages.

Walt Disney World Annual and Seasonal passholders may access the lounge by checking in at the Garden Grill restaurant podium on the second floor of The Land pavilion. A Cast Member at the podium will give the passholder an elevator code that will give the guest access to the third-floor lounge.

I remember you walking around taking pictures. Since I didn't know who you were, I was going to ask if you were familiar with WDWMagic, but I decided not to.

I was the one wearing all blue, sitting on the sofa and reading the 100 Years of Magic book. (constantly flipping back to the Tapestry page...)
