Annual Pass

Hi
My family and I are going to Disney in December, and my mother had a quick question. We are purchasing our annual pass tickets before hand, and we have to validate them when we get there. Our question is, do we need to have a photo ID, or will a regular drivers license do? The website says photo, but reservations told her regular. My parents don't want to go out and have to get photo id's if it's not necissary.
Thanks

I would suggest a photo ID. If they are flying, they will need one for check in. And Disney does check photo ID when checking in. At lease they did when I was there last.

maybe i'm missing something here...but doesn't your driver's license have a picture on it? Wouldn't that then be considered a photo id? I've been an annual/seasonal passholder for 7 years and have always just used my driver's license.

You're right, of course - I live in New York, and my driver's licenses has my photo on it - I just didn't happen to have it with me when I went to activate my voucher.

Really??? I did not know that

This is a serious question - if your photo isn't on your i.d., then how does anyone know it's really you??? :veryconfu

When I bought my annual pass I showed my driver's license, but as I am from NYC, it has my picture on it!! Also Id advise you to carry ID when using the AP. I have had several times when my hand didnt scan properly and my ID got me into the park!! Belle

They don't. I am from NJ, and I think that we are the only state left that dosen't require photo ID's on licenses, making this the easiest state to get fake ID's. heh heh heh. Being 19, I have a photo ID, but as soon as I turn 21, I have the option of a photo ID, or non-photo ID.

Thanks for all the replies, I guess my parents have to go get their lovely pictures taken :brick:

ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!! My fingers didn't scan properly about three-quarters of the time I used my annual pass, and my driver's license got me into the parks. Don't leave your hotel room without it!

whats that supposed to mean? :hammer: ;)

just for the record... CT has these new licences if you are 21+ the are normal (ie: horizontal) and if you are under 21 they are vertical...all the info is on there but the "correct" way to hold it has the card vertical...with pictures lol... AND they have pretty pictures on them of like the beach or something
