Annual Pass Question???

Does anyone know...

If I buy one AP and the rest regular park hoppers can I reserve a room at the all stars at that AP rate ($49)? If I needed two rooms for six nights each that could save me a lot more money than the difference in a park hopper and an AP.

Annual Pass $369
Park Hopper 5-day $217
--------
Extra Cost $152

2 Rooms @ All Stars
for 6 nights
(12 * $77) $924

AP Rate (12 * $49) $588
--------
$366

Extra Ticket Cost $152
--------

Savings $214

I know I left off tax but It should not make much difference.

What do you think?

My family and i were in the exact same position as you but instead of the all stars we wanted to stay at a deluxe or moderate resort. We decided we would try and get the AP becuase it would save us more money (plus we could later convince ourselves to go to WDW for quick vacations throughout the year):) Anywho what ended up happening was that we couldn't get any AP discounts for the time we were going in Oct. so if you do plan on getting an AP then book quick.

Good luck in getting an AP rate. They are becoming harder and herder to come by. The recent rates that were released last Thursday - the rooms were gone in a few hours!

Right on both counts! I've had quite a bit of email from folks saying that they just can't get the AP discounts for any time they've tried for the Value resorts. Still some for Moderate and Deluxe though, but it appears it's easier for December.

FJM, you might want to talk to Pam here (Kingdom Konsultants) - she might be able to help you find a time & place!

Good luck.

Be advised that tax at the All Stars Resorts is the highest on property at 12%. The other resorts are 11.5%.

As of last night, Sunday, there were AP rates available for most Deluxe Resorts.

We have never done this either, booking AP, but I told my parents about it and we upgraded from Caribbean Beach (243/night for holiday rates and NO AP rates left) to Yacht Club for 194/night with the AP (regular 495/night). So we saved significant money, and as was mentioned above, there seems to be plenty of rooms left for December.

So good luck trying buddy!:xmas:

You didn't mention when you were planning on going to wdw, but this is the exact thing we were going to try for. we aren't going to wdw until june of 04. But I have been keeping a close eye on this board and now i see how hard its been for many to get the ap rates they wanted for the dates they needed. I suppose if you can be flexible with your dates then you have better luck, unfortunately for us, we just don't have that flexibility w/ hubby, or my sisters work. Still, we are planning on being onsite for 10 days this trip, and then we will use the same ap's for our next trip, so that will save us money, now saving on the resort is another story. Last year we paid $50 a night at movies and that was just with a code off of the internet. so I suppose there is always that chance.

Definately book the rooms at the AP price soon!

There are some key dates that are already sold out. If you send me your dates, perhaps I can help.

If you would like the 5 day hoppers, I do have discounted tickets on my site. My prices include tax.

In case anyone is wondering, All Stars is in a different county. Each Florida county is allowed to levy it's own tax, which is in addition to the state tax of ?6%. (I only pay attention when I have to make a major purchase, such as a new car. ;) )
