Annual Pass Previews of Pandora - The World of Avatar beginning May 13

This was not very well orchestrated. If it weren't for my co-worker telling me at 12:00 I would have missed this. I got the 3:00-5:00 time slot for May 15th. How does seniority not play a role in this? So first time pass holders are going to experience this over someone who has had a pass for 15 years? Way to never reward loyalty TDO.

You did not get one because you are not going to give Disney a fawning account of the best Disney land ever. I'm sure however the Disney Moms are being brought there at Disneys expense however...

Email is just not 100% reliable form of delivery for many reasons. We send out thousands a day on the forum that get returned undeliverable.

Did anyone expect Disney to show any loyalty to long term passholders. If you did you are delusional I expect most of the invites went to first year passholders and NEW DVC members because neither myself or DW got an invite and we have 800 points.

Not that I would have gone to see the blue cat people land

The distribution pattern is interesting to say the least. Remember Disney wants positive social media buzz
Not sure that how many DVC points you have has any bearing on whether you got an invite?? You aren't local, and since you claim that you aren't going to Disney anyway, why would they send an invite to you, just to read more of your crap about how bad Disney is? If you don't already have a trip planned for those dates, I'm pretty sure their computer recognizes that, and has automatically excluded you.

And how do YOU have any idea what the distribution pattern is, to call it "interesting"?

Ugh. Never got an email. We're Platinum Passholders. What gives? Never saw a link or anything either.
So??????????? Is it the end of the world for you? I do not understand any of you that think it is your right to get a random invitation just because you purchased this pass, that pass, or have thousands of DVC points. The entitlement mentality in this thread is just mind-boggling.

What you are saying makes sense to me. I received an invite, and I'm staying on points the very week of the preview. It would make good sense for them to start with guests staying on points that week!

I called to talk to someone and they were apologetic but basically said that it was sold out and no other previews are planned. They said I will be able to visit starting May 27. I told them that the preview was handled very poorly and they should be ashamed of the way AP holders were treated. Just this weekend I talked to someone about not renewing my pass this fall and this kind of sealed the deal. This weekend I am going to SeaWorld who always treats its AP holders very well.

What if some of us are shareholders? I have every right to complain if I own a piece of the company.

Exactly. We were there last week and this week, and received an invite to tour the new Copper Creek villas. While some here seem to hate them from only looking at pictures, in person, they are really quite nice. Can't wait to stay there one of our trips.

We didn't get one either. My daughter got a link, but it wouldn't work. She was on hold for an hour and was told they would send a link for us to use. It never came. We called back and the spots were all gone.

We are shareholders as well - and DVC - and AP holders for decades. So what? We do NOT think that gives us any right to a preview that has, more than likely, had people randomly selected to attend. And no, that doesn't give you the right to complain one iota about not receiving a random email. It just doesn't. If you think so, then you are part of that entitled mentality that is a problem with many people nowadays.

It was on the Disney food blog.
I have a feeling that the links in the emails are the only ones that were going to work correctly. Oh, and of course, the Disney Food Blog is not an official Disney site, so not surprised that it wouldn't work.

And so I just looked and it stated that she placed a link from her email to the site. I'm willing to bet that is verboten by Disney to do this. It's similar to printing fake passes from a real one.

I never get the AP emails, but I have the luxury of checking this board and the other big Disney forum when I want, which is what I did this morning. I used the link someone had posted and got spots for two family members.

I don't know if there is a way to set up phone alerts for particular threads on these forums, but honestly that's probably where you will hear news like this first.

We've been ap holders and dvc members fro 15 years now and got both the ap and dvc invite..I guarantee you this invite went out to guests who would be in the resorts that time span only and probably local residents...no matter how many points or ap level or how long...this was not sent to just first year dvc members or 1st year ap holders...In all honesty the only time I have ever gotten an invite to these is if I already had a reservation.

I am just grateful that dvc somewhat treats it's members like this .I mean look at the ap preview offer compared to the dvc preview offer both at the same time dvc has been justified in the race of who is treated better
..I'm sure if you had a reservation you would have gotten the invite.
