Anyone know how many people they allowed in per 2 hour window? It doesn't feel like a lot and I would imagine it is pretty low otherwise your preview would be spent in one single 220 minute ride line.

No one knows for sure, but the window was open for quite a while, at least seemingly compared to past preview events. I think window opened up around 9:30-9:45am and closed around 1:30/2 something this afternoon.

My email came at exactly 9:20 if that information is in any way useful to anyone. Hey; I'm here to help! :)

Announcing this event prior and when sign ups would go live would make a world of a difference. I hope more preview dates get set up because if not this is annoying at best.

Except for those that couldn't be at a computer right at that time. There is no possible way to satisfy everyone.

Not even in the same realm a random email vs a public announcement and given people time to plan prior are two very different ways to handle ap previews.
Doesn't matter, there still would be people complaining, just like you are. If they said that it opened at 7am ET, then west coast people would be complaining that they have to get up at 4am - and if they miss the time by only a few minutes - they'd all be gone anyway. Why not just state that everyone with an AP can get in starting on a certain date? Let them all in, regardless of how long the wait, or how crazy it would be. Again, impossible, no matter what method, to satisfy everyone.

Given that the event had limited capacity, it doesn't rally matter what they did someone would be unable to participate and then event is full.

It does matter because not being able to clear time when notified prior vs not seeing a spam email and for my brothers case receiving no email despite being ap in Orlando are AGAIN 2 very different experiences. Please dont defend this awful rollout. Many a park has done ap previews successfully before and this was not a way to do it.

That's not the issue here. Notifying guests prior to a date and sign up time is very different than surprise here is an email sign up.

Since they filled it up, I don't think they consider it a bad thing unfortunately. They've had issues with managing these sorts of things for a long while- similar issues happened with the New Fantasyland preview as well.

Well, I didn't get one either, but you don't see me rolling around all hurt that Disney ignored me. Please. Get over it and move on with your life. There are lot more important things than a preview of a new land at Disney that, as a local, you will see in short order anyway.

Again, while this may not have been the best method, they tried it. It satisfied some, others like yourself, not so much. If they don't think it works, you can bet that they will do something different for SW land in a few years.

I did the new fantasyland preview. They announced prior the sign up times, had MANY a random soft opening for all guests almost 2 months prior to opening officially. Rollout was pretty good at keeping the lands opening months rather manageable.

Well, now you're just bringing logic and reality into the discussion. No one wants to hear anything other than in the past, it was perfect, but Disney is screwing it all up now. :cautious:

Lol Okay well I'll continue to be rightfully upset about I product I pay for. You can just accept whatever makes you happy or in this case whatever they give you. Don't know why my reaction needed your input in the first place though.
