Annual Pass benefits

Ok, I go to WDW every February...(we stay off property because we have TimeSharing a mile outside of WDW) I go for one week a year (8 days). I was wondering if it would be better for me to buy an AP rather than just the 5 day hopper that I normally purchase. Now, granted, I only go to the WDW theme parks for 5 days...the other 3 are used for USF and relaxation.

But, I was also thinking that our 5 day hopper cannot get me into Pleasure Island or Disney Quest or the Water Parks. And I was also thinking that I would be able to get 2 vacations out of 1 AP because this year I'm going the last week of Feb and next year I'm going the 3rd week of Feb.

Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Oh yeah...what are some perks for Annual Passholders?

Does the 5 day hopper not have 2 "other park" days in addition to the 5 main ones? We had 7 day hoppers last year and they had 4 "other park" days ie water parks/Pleasure Island.

The regular AP's don't include Pleasure Island or the water parks either. You would have to get the premium AP.

When we buy our AP's we plan it so we can go back the following year a week earlier so we get the 2 trips out of it. Since we also use them to get the cheaper room rates, it's worth it to us.

...Mathematics....you gotta do the math....you have all the givens, all you have to do is plug in the numbers...as far as the AP benefits are concerned, click on this link....it has info on that...

...since you own timeshare, you'll probably drive to the parks ...you get free parking...that will save ya $5 or $6 dollars a day...so figure that in too.

Well, it's funny you say that actually...because this year there are about 20 of us going down and I might actually stay inside the WORLD...so, if I were to buy the AP and stay at Coronado Springs...would I still save in the long run after the two vacas?

Well w/ my AP Im saving 30 dollars a night on my room! (All Star Sports) An AP is only about 40 dollars more then a seven day hopper. Now.... only one person in your party needs to have an AP to get the discount on the room so you can use your pass to get as many rooms discounted as you want as long as the reservations are in your name! Well worth it for the room discount alone! ;) If you dont want to spend the extra money for the AP Plus you will get a discout on water park and Pleasure Island tickets. Not to mention all the discounts on the stores and resturants. Id say go for it!!!!!!:)

We have found that the AP is worth it for us if we stay 8 days or more. We are buying new ones in September and using all of my husband's vacation days combined with some minor holidays to get 40 days in the parks this year, which brings our daily admission down to about $6.50. We learned when we had APs two years ago that it is very hard to resist adding in another trip when you have your passes, so this time around we're just planning on it.

The room discounts are the biggest benifet other than the cheaper admission. Although only one person needs an AP, you can only reserve two rooms with that one pass (per stay); it is not unlimited as someone indicated ealier (unless things have changed recently). We have also used our APs for discounts on dining and tours.
