Princess Eilonwy needs to be recognized as a Disney princess... I don't care how underrated she is, she's a Disney character, who's a princess.
Pertaining to Pocahontas and Mulan, I always let Pocahontas slide because even though she wasn't technically a "princess" her father was the Chief of the tribe. She was treated differently and given certain privileges and additional respect because of her father's position...kind of like a princess being treated special because she is the daughter of a king.
Mulan, on the other hand, is a different story. While I enjoy the movie and I do admit she did admirable and brave things to protect not only her father but also her country...she is neither born royal or with superior rank, nor does she marry into royalty. Li Shang, while possessing the title of Captain in military ranks, is not a prince. He is a soldier. Point blank period.
Anywho, just thought I would ramble about that for a minute...its something that has always irked me.

I could see kids noticing...I got a lecture from one of my cousins for not calling her Queen Elsa during our Frozen viewing at Easter!I doubt anyone outside of our WDWMagic board will raise much of a fuss about Elsa's princess technicality ha.

Well, technically, aren't most of the Disney Princesses actually queens, or will be queens in the near future after the end of their films, seeing that many of them marry princes that are heirs to the throne? Actually, come to think about it, doesn't it seem odd that e.g. Prince Eric isn't already king in the film? He doesn't appear to have any parents..
Question for you all:
If history is any guide, Anna and Elsa will soon be formally inducted into the Disney Royal Court or whatever it's called with the rest of the official Disney Princesses -- especially given how well the movie has done. That's fine with respect to Anna, she is a princess after all.
What do they do with Elsa, though? She's a queen, which obviously trumps mere princess status. Does she get knocked down a rung? Does she become the ruler of all Disney Princesses? Do they just have her join the court with everyone else as an equal but make no mention of the fact that she technically outranks all of them?
Kinda joking, but I am legitimately curious to see how they handle this little wrinkle...
Well, it's not known if Snow's Prince is an heir. Granted, since the Queen died, she would most likely be next in line. Tiana, Pocahontas, and Mulan aren't going to be queens. Belle is unlikely to be a queen either, since the Prince's domain seems to be a small little place with no real authority. He disappeared for ten years (as far as anyone knew) and it didn't seem to affect things much, certainly not Belle's village.
True.. Then there's Cinderella, Aurora and Ariel?
Not only is she a queen, but she's also the only person over 21 in Disney's royal ranks....
Aurora - I don't know enough about Kings and Queens to know what will happen with her. Her parent's are both a King and Queen yet Phillips are also. So which Kingdom (?) would they become King and Queen of?
Of the OFFICIAL Disney Princess line-up, that's true. Unofficial princesses, Kida is both a queen and 8,000 years old.
Actually, the emperor who was supposed to be near a god in these days.. did bow down to her. That would give her lot of honor and rank.Pertaining to Pocahontas and Mulan, I always let Pocahontas slide because even though she wasn't technically a "princess" her father was the Chief of the tribe. But nobody likes her because Atlantis was little more than Stargate crossed with Road to El Dorado.
Oh, please. "Scientist finds lost civilization and scores a hot chick" goes well before Stargate, including but not limited to the works of Edgar Rice Burroughs and The Mole People.
Actually, according to story, Trousdale & Wise had been hired to do "Journey to the Center of the Earth", but thought it was too slow and needed "more monsters". So they decided to go with a faux-Verne instead, but by that point, there wasn't enough budget or time for the monster-attacks they'd storyboarded.
So, we pretty much got the ONE monster attack, a brief scene of one of the others worked into a montage, and filled in the rest of the story void with having the looney-tune supporting characters school-bullying Milo in the halls.
(And I remember, when it came out, we liked Kida, and maybe Milo, we just....didn't like anybody else.)
Aurora - I don't know enough about Kings and Queens to know what will happen with her. Her parent's are both a King and Queen yet Phillips are also. So which Kingdom (?) would they become King and Queen of?
Ariel - She has too many older sisters so no she wouldn't become a Queen.
