Animal Kingdom or Epcot?

So tomorrow night my boyfriend and I are leaving for a very short Walt Disney World trip. Our plan goes so far Magic Kingdom with extra magic hours on Friday, Hollywood Studios (10pm Fantasmic), and then we have the next day to enjoy a park until our Magical Express leaves around 6. We really don't know if we should do Animal Kingdom or Epoct. We were at WDW last year for a longer time and did do all the parks. We rode almost every ride at both Epoct an Animal Kingdom. The only thing we didn't really do was explore the country pavilions. So my question is just in your opinion should we visit Animal Kingdom or Epcot that last day. Both parks have something we really enjoy and would hate to miss.

That's a tough one. I'd have to go with Epcot, but if you can afford the extra cost, go with the park hopper and hit AK at opening, do the attractions you most enjoy (for me that would be EE, Dinosaur) then head over to Epcot and spend the rest of the day there.

Short trips are better than no trip at all, but having to choose what to leave out is not fun. Whatever you decide, enjoy!

I say do the world show case at Epcot , there are alot of great places there and you can enjoy wine tasting and plenty of resturants. Since you did all the rides last year you can really make it a relaxing day.

If you bus leaves at 6 then i say a park hopper is a big waste of money . i'm assuming your last day is this sunday and you reaslitcly have to 5pm so that you have time to get to your bus and leave. Your also going to spend about 1 hour to park hop. So I say its a waste. You will get mabye 7 hours and i don't see you being able to do much with 3 hours and 4 hours esp if the parks are busy

well do you love animals? it's a tough decision because if you really like rides expedition Everest is amazing but i'm not sure if animal kingdom is an all day park. Epcot is great with soarin and test track and all of the different things to experience in the world showcase. hopper would be the best option

Depends on what you actually want to do -- go on rides or relax and enjoy some drinks/food and great ambience. If you want to do rides, I'd probably go AK, for relaxing with some rides, I'd do EPCOT.

I would never ever again visit WDW without park hopper. It's really necessary to get the max out of your stay, especially if you are a resort guest and use EMH. If you have it you don't have to waste time on such questions where to spend your last day, you just decide it spontaneously and if you don't like your decision you change it and the park.

I really love park hoppers and we always get them.

But between the 2 parks - no contest. EPCOT is the winner.

Unless you really really love the zoo...I couldn't do an entire day straight at AK. Plus AK closes early so you're getting more bang for your buck at EPCOT.

I would do Animal Kingdom. Epcot would just be too much and you would leave very tired trying to do a lot. Animal Kingdom take your time and explore and you don't need to rush because it is so much smaller.

I said Park Hopper. The reason is that World Showcase is fun without kids. With kids, you miss too much.

If I read correctly, DME does not pick you up until 6PM. This means you can hit a lot of AK until 11AM then head over to World Showcase which opens at 11AM. This will give you time to visit about half the countries fully or all of them partially. You need to leave any park by 5PM at the latest.

We tried a late flight once and found it to be more trouble than it was worth. We now just stay an extra night and leave early the next morning. We just wound up spending too much time worrying that we get back in time that we wound up spending half the day at the pool waiting.

Ask yourself the question - Which park are you going to wish you had visited after you leave?

Choose the park that you both would enjoy together most. Spend the day at a leisurely pace - choose one must do item each - then take the other attractions as they are available. Have a nice meal whether counter or table service and enjoy the atmosphere of the chosen park.

Either way - I am sure you will have a fantastic trip!

This time of year it's too hot to go to Animal Kingdom. That park is just a sweatbox in the best of times and July in Central Florida is the worst of times.

I'd do Epcot.

I wanted to do the park hopper but my boyfriend (who is paying) doesn't see the value in spending 100 dollars to just do Dinosaurs, EE, and then the safari. I was fine with just doing Epcot on the last day because I love Soarin', Test Track and although cheesy I wanted to ride Journey into Imagination because I never have. I will not be upset if we choose not to do one of the parks because I know we are trying to go at least once every year, if not twice. I just know he is already torn between the two parks. He is the much bigger fan and is so torn by the fact we might miss something. I think next time we will have to take half days on thursday and monday so we can just do a full day in the parks on Saturday.

All of your suggestions have been taken to heart. I think either way we would have to do one park. If we go AK we would see the shows as well as do a few rides. At Epcot I think a wine tasting trip or just enjoying the atmosphere would be nice.

Now we are just sure we should do 4 days and 4 nights not 3 days 4 nights.
