Hi All!

So, DH and I were "tweaking" our ADR's and spreadsheet for our upcoming trip and we need some opinions.

We want to eat 2 meals at AK. One at Yak and Yeti and one...well, we can't choose. We would love your help! what would you choose and why? Some back story, in the past, we have only stuck to Tusker for bfast and Yak and Yeti for lunch bc early on, nothing else really impressed us. What would you choose and why?

Thanks!
I would go to Animal Kingdom Lodge since you are so close and eat dinner at Boma. Maybe get a reservation for after when the park closes.

I agree. And on that same thought process I'd add in Jiko for consideration. Pricier than Boma but sure yummy and off your feet and more relaxing after a lot of walking at AK.

Thanks! I appreciate all the input! I am not sure when the refurb will be done but I think it is "Spring 2015". I didn't like the pizza at Pizzafari when we went but again, this was years and years ago. We usually only have one meal at AK - either Tusker for bfast or Yak and Yeti for lunch while at AK. And this time, we are having two meals. Do we know if Flame Tree is getting a new menu or is the eating area just being refurbed?
One thing they aren't advertising well while Flame Tree is down, the Flame Tree offerings are scattered between 2-3 booths on the walkway between Flame Tree and Asia.

Question: Flame tree though all outdoor seating at least has a nice set up to relax and eat at tables since most of Flames food really needs a table to eat and not wind up wearing your lunch. Did Disney set up adequate seating for the Flame Kiosks for the guests to eat?

I don't know. We didn't actually partake because we didn't see the offerings until after we ate Y&Y QS for lunch.

Yes, the booths are up - its my understanding that Flame Tree will be open though by the time we travel. :)

Oh I agree. Boma was definitely more unique. (I wasn't comparing the two however). I just recommending Tusker House to OP based on her party makeup and perhaps thinking she was aiming to stay in the park at the time of the meal. :)

Exactly. :) With the little nugget being 1 and pushing to stay at the park until close at 7 pm (no break back to the resort mid day), I didn't want to take time out of our AK day to head to AK Lodge or have a seating after close.
