Animal Kingdom help needed

In the past we have always visited DAK in the morning and finished by mid afternoon. We will be there the first week of August and we are considering waiting to mid afternoon to start our visit to DAK. Any suggestions as to planning. Thanks

I prefer the moring at DAK mostly because of how early it closes. We went in the afternoon last week, and we felt rushed because we only had a few hours until closing. The safari always seems to have a lot more animals in the A.M, before it gets hotter in the afternoon. Plus, crowds in that park always are busiest in the afternoon. I bet it is beautiful at night - but I prefer to visit in the morning, and then spend the evening at another park that is open later.

This last trip we had great luck with the animals being active the last hour of opening (4p - 5p) b/c I think this is right before feeding time for some (i.e tigers). But also the weather can be a bit, although not much, cooler/less humid end of April then when you go in August.

If you're there to see animals, keep going in the morning. In August, it's always dicey because it's so hot, but it only gets hotter as the day progresses. If you only want to experience non-animal attractions, take a chance.

I would recommend gong to DAK in the morning as well, I was told by a CM that the animals are alot more active in the morning, that's why we head straight to the safaris as soon as the park opens. We are even doing am EMH this year hoping to see a little more activity.

We usually do the same thing and see almost everything want to by the time we leave around 3. I think the only issue with waiting to mid afternoon is fast passes for EE might be gone and this park closes the earliest - so unless you go when you have EMH's - you might not have enough time to do everything.
