Good Morning all my Disney loving friends! We just hit the road and our first destination is Charlotte, NC. However, before I get ahead of myself, it is our normal crew, myself, Deighton (I turn the big 5 0 this year), Den my husband and our 3 kids. Hunter who is 20 and is now bartending... Camden 13 still an avid lacrosse player and fisherman and the youngest Brinley, 9 for now but on August 10 she will turn 10 in Disney World.

Here is a brief schedule of the next 2 weeks. As I stated earlier we will arriving in Charlotte, NC around 4 pm today. We have reservations at a southern BBQ restaurant (let the feeding frenzy begin). Tomorrow, we leave early to get to Savannah Georgia as soon as possible. We have a lot that we want to do here but the weather is not showing that it is going to cooperate. Hopefully the weather man is as wrong in Savannah as they are in
Pittsburgh!

After a night in Savannah, we are headed to Disney Springs for 2 days. We have reservations in Disney Springs and this is when we will do some resort hopping. Then it is home to The Boardwalk for 9 nights with a seven day hopper. Then back to Charlotte to meet up with my brother and his family. Then sadly home and back to the grind! I will post more details shortly!

Thanks for following and thanks to all of you who take the time to do Trip Reports! You have no idea how much it keeps me going💞

Ok! Enough about food! Although, you know I could go on forever...

Let's get to the parks, rides and all things included, but up first I have a question for all my Disney loving friends 🧡

For the first time, on any of our Disney adventure, the wait times were WAY off!! Whatever wait time was posted it was at least half as much longer. This happened on several occasions! Did anyone else find this to be true over the summer?

For example, the first time we rode Tron the wait posted was 60 minutes which was the shortest we had seen without rope drop so we jumped in line. I asked the CM with a sign if that was accurate. She said, it was! Then after waiting an hour in the heat and still slowly 🐌 moving. There was another sign that said, an hour from this point! I will be honest and say, it was very frustrating. I was ready to leave the line but Brin already had her heart set on it, so I brought the smile back and we waited 105 minutes!! I do believe that is a record for the longest I have ever waited for a ride, especially one that takes 45 seconds! It is a blast, I have to admit!!

I understand things break and I am not complaining. I am just curious, if anyone else has noticed this lately?? I, also, think it was busier than usual for the first weeks in August compared to the first few weeks in July when it had significantly lower crowd levels!

I found wait times to be a mixed bag - either under or over but rarely corresponding to what was posted.

I’ve never been in July but now have been twice post-Covid in August and this time seemed less crowded than the other time (to be fair however, that time I ended up spending a lot of time on my own because it was either that or staying in the room with a grumpy teen).

Boy do I understand a grumpy teen. The boys both enjoyed chilling in the room at night!! You can do that at home!! I appreciate your input because I was really surprised after many trips. Last trip, posted wait times were always shorter.

I hate to bring it up … but I think so far you’ve only dealt with grumpy boy teen. Grumpy girl teen is a whole other ballgame 😉🤭🤣

(But my girl teen left teenager-hood a week ago).
