Trip Report And When it's Time to Find Home. We know the Way!! Aue Aue

Good Morning all my Disney loving friends! We just hit the road and our first destination is Charlotte, NC. However, before I get ahead of myself, it is our normal crew, myself, Deighton (I turn the big 5 0 this year), Den my husband and our 3 kids. Hunter who is 20 and is now bartending... Camden 13 still an avid lacrosse player and fisherman and the youngest Brinley, 9 for now but on August 10 she will turn 10 in Disney World.

Here is a brief schedule of the next 2 weeks. As I stated earlier we will arriving in Charlotte, NC around 4 pm today. We have reservations at a southern BBQ restaurant (let the feeding frenzy begin). Tomorrow, we leave early to get to Savannah Georgia as soon as possible. We have a lot that we want to do here but the weather is not showing that it is going to cooperate. Hopefully the weather man is as wrong in Savannah as they are in
Pittsburgh!

After a night in Savannah, we are headed to Disney Springs for 2 days. We have reservations in Disney Springs and this is when we will do some resort hopping. Then it is home to The Boardwalk for 9 nights with a seven day hopper. Then back to Charlotte to meet up with my brother and his family. Then sadly home and back to the grind! I will post more details shortly!

After throughly enjoying the show, we lucked out and snagged a reservation at 50s Prime Time. ( no @Tuvalu this year ).

But first, to kill time, a quick cartoon.

Wedge salad for Den and I to split! The tomatoes and feta cheese were Devine.

Brin had some corn chowder soup and enjoyed it!

Den's first time eating at Prime Time after much convincing and he really liked it, too.

HS is packed and it is humid! We are going back to nap and swim. Then dinner at Il Mulino and fireworks, finally! Rain, rain go away!!

IMHO, today has been amazing so far and we certainly accomplished a lot more than even intended!

If anyone of you have never been and are at the Boardwalk, they have gorgeous art work. I don't think it is worthy of a special trip though!

We are back...after a lovely nap, it was time to put our swim suits on, and then the sky opened up and the pool was closed. Plan B, get dressed for dinner and Uber to The Swan for cocktails and small plates. The boys are chilling in the room to 530 because they can't do that at home

Brin is feeling pink today!

We made it to the Swan. It has been a while since I have been here. I believe it will be Brin's first trip.

Our seats for the next hour and a half. It is still raining!

Den and I are both having the Il Salvatore which is Whistle Pig Rye Whiskey with bitters, orgeat, fresh lemon and cherry smoked. It is a little sweet so I added a dash of water and perfection. Brin, who is 9 for the last day, is having a Shirley Temple.

Il mulino I am sad to report was just ok compared to years past. The service was great but the food is not the same. Maybe Flying Fish is spoiling us or maybe everything is effected by the trickle down affect.

However, we all still had so much fun and Brin loved her complimentary dessert that she gladly shared with all of us! The peanut butter whip cream was the hit of the night!

And I’m glad you liked Villains too! So many people have disliked it that I was worried going in but I had a great time as well. The stage is much more compact in person than in photos, which I think helped, but it’s the cast who really sold it!

I completely agree!! We talked to a CM today who said they are working on increasing the villains rapidly which I think will make it a show to see more than once a day!

No. Our server Josh was awesome but very laid back! I was hoping for a little more interaction but the service and food were great so I will take what I can get!!

After dinner last night, because it was still raining, we called an Uber. (I am amazed at what little Uber costs here even with a good tip). We went to the Bellvue Lounge for a good bye to our friend Austin who just got full time bartending position at Animal Kingdom Lodge at Sanaa and starts on Tuesday.

Cam text me that the pool was open so he took Brin swimming. That, my friends, is some real Disney magic. Typically, Cam is way too cool to hang out with his younger sister!

Possibly an early birthday present?? Nah! Hunter can't swim because of his blisters so he was desperate for company Still it made her day!

We watched Who wants to be a Millionaire to cap off the night. Sorry about the noise pictures. I was just really taking it all in.

4 days to go and this is the big one!! The plan (mind you all Brin's wants) rope drop Epcot. Sample food from various countries for lunch especially Japan. Swim for an hour. Wilderness Lodge at 645 pm for dinner and then close the night at MK. We may, actually, sleep in tomorrow, but as you have seen, I/ we are not very good at that. I would be in the parks now if I could be.

One more, side note to self, I have loved this room so far for ultra convenience of location but the lack of view and sunrise I am definitely missing. The noise level has not bothered us in the least. We have a balcony but it has zero privacy so we have not used it.
I am still very up in the air about it...
