Trip Report And When it's Time to Find Home. We know the Way!! Aue Aue

Good Morning all my Disney loving friends! We just hit the road and our first destination is Charlotte, NC. However, before I get ahead of myself, it is our normal crew, myself, Deighton (I turn the big 5 0 this year), Den my husband and our 3 kids. Hunter who is 20 and is now bartending... Camden 13 still an avid lacrosse player and fisherman and the youngest Brinley, 9 for now but on August 10 she will turn 10 in Disney World.

Here is a brief schedule of the next 2 weeks. As I stated earlier we will arriving in Charlotte, NC around 4 pm today. We have reservations at a southern BBQ restaurant (let the feeding frenzy begin). Tomorrow, we leave early to get to Savannah Georgia as soon as possible. We have a lot that we want to do here but the weather is not showing that it is going to cooperate. Hopefully the weather man is as wrong in Savannah as they are in
Pittsburgh!

After a night in Savannah, we are headed to Disney Springs for 2 days. We have reservations in Disney Springs and this is when we will do some resort hopping. Then it is home to The Boardwalk for 9 nights with a seven day hopper. Then back to Charlotte to meet up with my brother and his family. Then sadly home and back to the grind! I will post more details shortly!

Who can say the first thing they did in Epcot was the American adventure

We stepped outside and it started sprinkling again. Lol so we tucked into The Regal Eagle Smokehouse for Tennessee Lemonade, fries and beans with burnt ends.

We are outside of Germany at a table with an umbrella waiting for Den and Cam to come back with snacks.

They are back from Germany with bread pudding, jumbo pretzel and a dunkel. No food pics. The natives are starving!

Hunter ended up finding us at this point so we were all off together

We all were walking to GOG and as we were passing Test Track people were running there and we concluded that had only just reopened because of the storm. I darted to the single rider line and the family followed. We were off in 15 minutes and Brin road in front of Den. Phew! We all really liked it!! No spoilers here!

Now, we have been waiting 15 minutes for our LLs to GOG.

Burn baby burn!! Disco inferno!! It took about 25 minutes with lightning lanes. Everyone loved it, including Camden!! Woohoo!!

We then went to settle in behind the Rose and Crown. Den went to get 2 Guiness and I went to get Fish and chips to share. Everyone grabbed a few bites, when the skies opened up again!! We quickly ate and headed back. We are on the boat back to Boardwalk now. It has been a long time since I guzzled a guiness! Lol

Ok. We got back to our room absolutely drenched!! My soap box is growing a little everyday. I loved reading some other TRs where people act like human beings in other Disney theme parks because I have seen a lot of animals here that were not created by Disney! I will touch on it or share some stories at the end. Ok... jumping off the box happily now.

We are back at Flying Fish having Manhattans and trying to decide what to split!

I haven’t ate at Flying Fish in quite awhile. It seems like a “go to” for you & I trust your judgment so I feel the need to revisit it soon!!

You would love the bartenders especially Bill. The food and drinks are dynamite.

It is definitely a bonus to staying at The Boardwalk. We love having a place that knows us and remembers us.
I hope you are adjusting to being home. For me, it is always tough.

I looked out for you the past two days and from your pictures it seems like we were thisclose a couple of times each morning, but from memory those were the only days we would be in the same park.

We’ve been having a great time but being in a larger group (my DD and I are traveling with another family of 4) means moving along has its challenges.

Small hijack here: @riverside I FINALLY got to see Yehaa Bob - what a fantastically silly and fun show. He had me lead a parade around the room and I just played along and allowed myself to be silly in front of strangers (and my friends who have video evidence )

Not adjusting well at all, I want to be back there . Reading everyone else’s reports and writing my own is helping.

Wow!! We have got a lot done already. TOT was awesome. Cam thought it was ok. In an odd turn off events, like last night, we were walking by Rock n Roll, which was closed, to go to Villains and it opened as we walked by! In we went to the front and were on and off in 10 minutes! Now we are sitting and waiting for Villains to start. A little too close but you can't have it all and I am excited to see it!
