Trip Report And When it's Time to Find Home. We know the Way!! Aue Aue

Good Morning all my Disney loving friends! We just hit the road and our first destination is Charlotte, NC. However, before I get ahead of myself, it is our normal crew, myself, Deighton (I turn the big 5 0 this year), Den my husband and our 3 kids. Hunter who is 20 and is now bartending... Camden 13 still an avid lacrosse player and fisherman and the youngest Brinley, 9 for now but on August 10 she will turn 10 in Disney World.

Here is a brief schedule of the next 2 weeks. As I stated earlier we will arriving in Charlotte, NC around 4 pm today. We have reservations at a southern BBQ restaurant (let the feeding frenzy begin). Tomorrow, we leave early to get to Savannah Georgia as soon as possible. We have a lot that we want to do here but the weather is not showing that it is going to cooperate. Hopefully the weather man is as wrong in Savannah as they are in
Pittsburgh!

After a night in Savannah, we are headed to Disney Springs for 2 days. We have reservations in Disney Springs and this is when we will do some resort hopping. Then it is home to The Boardwalk for 9 nights with a seven day hopper. Then back to Charlotte to meet up with my brother and his family. Then sadly home and back to the grind! I will post more details shortly!

My favorite thing to do is Safari!!

Currently, we are sitting at Yak and Yeti for lunch!! It is a very cold lunch because we, except Hunter, are very wet from Kali River Rapids twice in a row!

Gorilla Falls was next

After Gorilla Falls is when we got drenched! Off to the tiger trek...the fruit bats were being fed. Can you guessed what they were eating? It was really an interesting process. They feed the bats atound 10 am if anyone is interested.

The tigers were very playful today and it was a riot!

Aviary was up next. Then a little shopping! Brin got cheetah ears to add to her collection!

We just finished lunch at the Yak and Yeti. It was amazing as usual. We have accomplished everything in Animal Kingdom except Festival of the Lion King. We are heading back to swim and relax. The park is busy!!

Den got a new Expedition Everest tshirt because he was soaked from Kali.
We had ahi tuna nachos and steamed pot stickers for appetizers. The children were "starving"!

Hunter joined us for lunch. His sun burnt has turned into tiny blisters all over his neck and shoulders. I really feel badly and should have forced sun screen upon him!

I had lettuce wraps. They were good but could have used heat and another crunch factor.

Den and Brin both had a tuna/salmon poke bowl. They could have split it!! (Note to self)

Cam had ribs and fries. He said they were the best fries on property yet

Hunter went with Sweet and Sour chicken and loved it!

I found the semi answer to your question @radiorae... this ornament hangs on the wall near the lobby bathrooms at the Boardwalk. I don't have an answer in terms of its significance.

Food looks really good. We like Yak & Yeti. But, we never can eat it all. Too much food!

Way too much food! That is why I just got the lettuce wraps. A little less than 1/2 the tuna nachos were leftover but they definitely don't travel well. Cam ate half of his ribs and I knew he wasn't going to eat leftovers. Brin just ate the salmon, tuna, edamame, mango, and avocado. (All the good stuff). Hunter and Den ate everything.

Quick, stupid question... what park is the best to go to on a Saturday and what is the worst? I have some ideas but I would like some thoughts. Tomorrow is supposed to be a Disney Springs/swim day. I feel like we have had enough of Disney Springs and Hunter can't swim with his blisters so we were going add a day to our hopper. Any advice is much appreciated!!!

We stay away from MK. AK is a good choice. Epcot is good during the day. But gets busy evening. HS is hit or miss.

I figured stay away from MK. Maybe Epcot or HS to rope drop some things and that at a resort for dinner?? Thank you my friend!!

We have finally made it to Epcot but it is supposed to storm all night. Lots of thunder and lightning out there! We made a b line for the American adventure.
