Trip Report And When it's Time to Find Home. We know the Way!! Aue Aue

Good Morning all my Disney loving friends! We just hit the road and our first destination is Charlotte, NC. However, before I get ahead of myself, it is our normal crew, myself, Deighton (I turn the big 5 0 this year), Den my husband and our 3 kids. Hunter who is 20 and is now bartending... Camden 13 still an avid lacrosse player and fisherman and the youngest Brinley, 9 for now but on August 10 she will turn 10 in Disney World.

Here is a brief schedule of the next 2 weeks. As I stated earlier we will arriving in Charlotte, NC around 4 pm today. We have reservations at a southern BBQ restaurant (let the feeding frenzy begin). Tomorrow, we leave early to get to Savannah Georgia as soon as possible. We have a lot that we want to do here but the weather is not showing that it is going to cooperate. Hopefully the weather man is as wrong in Savannah as they are in
Pittsburgh!

After a night in Savannah, we are headed to Disney Springs for 2 days. We have reservations in Disney Springs and this is when we will do some resort hopping. Then it is home to The Boardwalk for 9 nights with a seven day hopper. Then back to Charlotte to meet up with my brother and his family. Then sadly home and back to the grind! I will post more details shortly!

Good Morning!!! It is a beautiful morning at The Boardwalk!

I have to show R this picture. He’s decided that The Boardwalk is his favorite & your picture makes me see why. I have to wait until he gets out of his “back to school” principal meeting though!!

Hopefully, I get a few hours to myself which I have not had in Disney World in 20 years.

To me, it’s nice, but different. I find myself feeling out of place. I love to relax & go at my pace but in the back of my mind I’m thinking, “I miss J!! We would be doing… etc., etc., etc.”

We LOVE Prime Time! Kira and Miranda are our favorite servers!!!

We had Josh and Jessie this trip. Both were great but neither were in "character". Jessie a tiny bit more than Josh. The food is very good and worth it! The kids live the milkshakes!

@riverside I can't believe it is back to school already! Boo!!! I am really very independent so I enjoy me time as little as I get it! I just can't sleep through rope drop! I think it is such a waste of time and money. We get the big things done and the rest is gravy.

Ok, before I forget... the bartender at Oga Cantina was awesome! Now, some of you may recall, we have had many different reservations at Oga and every time the experience has been so terrible that we end up leaving without trying anything. I could go through all the different experiences, but why drum up the past?! Today, my bartender told me when I check in, request the bar that way you don't sit with strangers/drunks/babies/etc... Just passing on my new knowledge.

Onto Rise of the Resistance... I know that I am in the minority and I know that "it is all immersing" but, I do not get it!!! I am Star Wars lover, too. Thank heavens we bought lightning lanes for this and didn't waste much time. Lol I tried, again, because I really want to like and get it but...

Next observation, the CMs were not in character at all! I do not know how Kylo Ren would feel about his staff discussing their returns they needed to make at Taget and another room of CMs discussing what they were about to have for lunch! Does this sound ditchy?

I noticed in the different Star Wars rides it was about 50-50 for CMs being in character. Those that were: FANTASTIC . Those that weren’t: are you sure this is the right job for you?

I agree!! I will say that for CMs all over the parks!! The were either fantastic or didn't deserve to earn the ears!!

Tonight is date night!! However, I am taking you all along!! Shhh!!

We have some unneeded lightning lanes and 1 very needed lightning lane! Then snacks at Geo 83, an Uber to Yacht Club to see Justin at The Crew's Cup and then over to see Bill at The Flying Fish!

And we are off!!
