At what point should someone start worrying about their potentially high blood pressure? Or is it dependent on each different person (different levels for different people)?

High blood pressure is never a good thing....it's better to catch that kind of problem before anything else happens.

And by "catch," what do you mean? Just keep monitoring it?

You have to take into consideration family history, additional stresses, lifestyle choices, that kind of thing...usually regular checkups will indicate if there's an elevation, then I would imagine testing would follow to check heart health.
Are you talking about yourself or someone you know? :lookaroun My family has a history of high blood pressure on both sides, so I'm definitely keeping an eye on mine...so far, however, my blood pressure is actually a little low.

It's me. No history of high blood pressure, other than from "old age" in my parents. I've only started checking it for about half a week. It's been around 141/94. I just don't know what seeing a Dr. would do, I guess... I'm sure he'd tell me to decrease stress--something I'd love to do anyways, but haven't yet figured out how.

There's medication for it as well - don't mess around with this, Kat. Your kids need a healthy mom!:kiss:

Hello everyone - got my internet hooked back up yesterday afternoon...it is sad how much I missed being online.....Our flooring looks beautiful, but we still have quite a bit of furniture to put back into place. The family room also has some finishing to do - molding, painting, etc. but we will have to do that at a later time. I hope everyone has a good day! Jo, I'm so excited at how everything is going for you in FL.

Jo, I am so excited for you too, that all sounds so wonderful!

Thanks Jenny and Sami!
