And I Think to Myself....What a Wonderful World with Magic Friends

That is the case, yes. My best friend, who is now out of whatever odd stage it is...tried to talk to my brother. They are good friends and she had hoped he would listen since she made some of the same mistakes...but alas, he wouldn't. He is just now coming out of this stage...So I understand why she wouldn't listen to you. You're almost too old to understand. She wants to do it all on her own.

If she's like my friend and my brother, expect this to last a while....both of them where in their low 20s before they woke up. Around 22 actually. It's gonna be a bumpy ride for you all for sure. :(
I figured, she'd be this way for a few more years, but thanks Nibbs all I can do unfortunately is just sit back and hope and pray it all works out....

Yep...and keep trying to guide her. She may not want to listen and it might not totally sink in, but maybe, if you keep on her, a teeny tiny portion of what you're saying may seep in and she may get it through her head sooner.

Just reading the past few posts....((hugs)) for those that need them.....why is it that some of us have to go thru the valley of serious hurts to learn from our mistakes? Taking adults, who have already walked the same path, as people who might know a thing our two about life is just too easy of a solution. :brick: I don't have an answer for that one, just lots of deep breathing, and some windex and/or chocolate helps sometimes too.

It's true Jen. Some people are just hell bent on doing things on their own...and no one else (despite what other may say) has either lived it or knows what they're talking about. Nor can they dissuade them from taking the path they're on. It's so strange how it happens, but it seems to happen a lot during those late teen/early 20 years. I've seen it happen in my life so many times.

Thanks guys. I'm shocked, too. Here I am, wanting so much to work at a place I care so deeply about, then they go and hire people who hate their lives at Disney. And I made my passion for Disney known in the interview... I wasn't going to tell you guys 'cause I was embarassed. I really don't believe it's a hard program to get into.

Everything wasn't in my favor...I hate talking on the phone. Hate. And I was so sick I couldn't even understand my voice I was so stuffed up. Not trying to make excuses for not getting it, just saying I didn't have the best of luck in the situation.

This is the second time I"ve been denied by them. Blah. I'm gonna keep trying, though. An in person interview will go over so much better for me.

Sweetie...don't ever be embarrassed to tell us something.

I don't understand, but hopefully an in person interview will be the trick.
