Terrible Headache coming on.
It has been a week. Had nothin but trouble getting my car fixed, but after $1,700.00 the catalitic converter is replaced. Tomorrow I have to have the brakes fixed and all this to have a legal running car in NYS. Funny how my neighbors vehicle is falling apart, loud and noisy, and spews an aweful exhaust and still passes inspection.
George had minor surgery last week and he is still in pain and bleeding. Now we have to go to the doctors (2 hours away) to see what is going on. Our little dog has decided that everything is a chew toy again. His mother finally has an offer on her place and must find another place to live. Nothing is good for her. She complained about this last place because some siding is missing (easy fix), the place is musty (the owners have been out of town and the place is closed up), and the toilets are dirty (so clean them). It's a hopeless cause. And I still don't have a job. I thought this job market was getting better. There I go for thinking.

I am in awe of Jess also...and I cried from the first sentence..God is very good!

Oh and I am just her friend...we may have never met but we know each other so well and I love her and her family so very dearly!..:D

I can not imagine...but there has been so much love and support for them...so many of my friends who have no clue who she is are sending things and asking for help!..I am not a fan of people generally..;)..but this just makes me realize just how many great people there are!

I am trying to get some Disney princess dress up clothes and shoes for the girls as they loved those her sister told me...and have no more!

I am sending a package friday..:)

I wish I could do more!

Dana, you are a blessing to all who know you, whether it's internet or RL.

I would send a package if I could ever get my ________ together but since we all know that's not gonna happen I'm just gonna send the money card. I am promoting this relentlessly, already two people at work were like "I saw that on your FB!"

Am more glad than I can say that they made it out with those babies...as awful as it must feel to see all your stuff burned up, what really matters was saved. Glenn Beck says this all the time, "Stuff doesn't matter". I think maybe Jesus also said that, lol. But joking aside, Jess is amazing with her attitude.

On a side note I was trying to explain this whole thread to my gf when we were running tonight and I had to start with Bonnie (RIP) and then I got out of breath and just said "And then Jess' house burned down".

It's amazing what we've all been through this whole time we've all known each other.


As for Jess...it's amazing that they did awake and managed to get the girls out and that everything is more or less ok. Possessions, while devestating to loose can be re-gotten again. It's still such a shock that they had to go through what they did. :(

Thank you for that link, Dana - I was going to send a package this morning, just some coloring books and crayons for the girls, but of COURSE my local Walmart couldn't come through for me :brick:, so I just mailed them a gift card. I wish I could do more for them, but of course I will be praying. I hope perhaps after we return from vacation I can do more.
We leave tomorrow morning, folks...SO ready for this trip, I can't begin to tell you. See you on the flip side! :wave: :kiss:

I know something better is coming. I did hear that the program I was working for is now shutting down, so I wont have a job to go back to in the fall. I am still looking for regular work now, just a tough spot to be competing in. Even the jobs I am over qualified for I am not getting and I could use it as a stepping stone, but I guess they know that.

Have a safe, fun trip. Can't wait to hear about it. Geroge and I are thinking of post poning our trip in September. Not sure what to do, but his job is losing people without replacements so they may pull all vacations. We need to know soon to cancel before 31 days.

I have reached the point of exhaustion!

The rehearsals for the show I'm working on have been running crazy late...so I don't get in bed until I'm home and I wind down around 1:30...and then I'm up at six! I'll be so glad once it's on its feet and I start getting in earlier...I'm getting to old for this! :ROFLOL:

I am not looking forward to today, I have to go in and help this woman who is a big pain in the you know what get her papers together so she can get accepted into some high fluten genealogical society. This woman works for us at strawberry festival every year and all she does is complain and woan and groan and tell us what were doing wrong! I really cannot stand people like that! She called yesterday to see if I would be in today and I said that I was planning on it, she said can you guarntee it 100% I said no I can't guarntee it 100% as I might get sick or fall and break a limb, etc. she was just flabergasted that I couldn't provide her a 100% guarntee that I would be there today! The thing is she is going to create SO much work for me when I already have enough with trying to make the budget work so I can get myself a raise, she'll pull all these books and then say she can put them back herself, which I ask people not to do, and then she'll put them all on one self in a corner some where and I'll have to reshelve them anyways in addition to the shelf that she messed up by putting them there! :fork:

aww...Thank you Amy...that means a lot tome..:D

I am blessed to know of all of you here..:D

I am getting little things for them here and there..wish I was closer and could do more..

We have all been through a lot here..good and bad but I am thankful to know and love you all..:D

It is just sad..and Thank GOD..over and over again they are all safe and those babies are ok!
