An old trip "report".

Hi everyone,

Since a few years ago, I started editing the videos we took during our WDW trips and put them into something like a music videos. I've made several of them, but I still come back to one of the earliest one that I made, which was from the 2003 trip. Someone suggested that I put them up for viewing. So I have!

If you're interested, the video is here

Don't laugh too hard. My video editing skills have improved considerably since then.

Its good! I like it!

I must admit, I surf google videos at least a few times a week for WDW video(s) to watch.

Thanks DMC and bsandersjr.

If you want to start doing video editing, I suggest getting something like Pinnacle. That's what I started with, and what I used for that video. I've "graduated" to Sony Vegas since then. Just be warned that doing video editing is a time blackhole. You start by thinking that you'd spend an hour on it, and by the time you look up at the clock again, several hours have gone by without you realizing it. :)

I find that editing my Disney trips into short, music videos is a lot less "boring" when I show them to friends and family when compared to just showing them endless minutes of raw footage. So it is not a torture for them to sit through it. :D

Someone asked me about this, so I thought I'll also explain it on here.

Since these were from 2003, there are a few things that are different or no longer exist. For example, in the first video, or what I called "Shooting Star", you can no longer find the dragon that shoots out steam out of its nose. That used to be in front of the China pavilion at Epcot. I'll repost it below.

Also, in the 2nd video that I called "Crush" is the infamous episode of Pluto trying to swallow a child. I used a picture from this "incident" in one of WDWMagic's photo contest. :)

Video list:

I have another video uploaded. This one is not as old as the other videos. In fact, it's quite recent, from this past January.

The video is the complete coverage of the Disney Stars and Motor Car parade at Disney/MGM Studios. This parade is rumored to soon be replaced by something else.

You may find the video here:

Enjoy!

More video uploads, if you haven't noticed it already from my signature.

Besides the Stars/Motor Cars parade, I've uploaded my video of SpectroMagic from a couple of years ago, and also the Country Bears Jamboree.

Edit: for some reason, the link to Country Bears Jamboree isn't working right now.

OK, if you can stand ONE more video uploads....

This is the complete video if IllumiNations - Reflections of Earth, in widescreen. However, I have dubbed in the original music soundtrack (had to time it rather carefully). So you don't hear the crowd noise. Unfortunately, you also miss the live sounds from the fireworks too (on the DVD that I made, you can choose this as the alternative soundtrack).

This was filmed last September 2005 when the inferno barge was out of commissioned.

OK, right after I announced the upload of IllumiNations, there was a flurry of download activities there! :)

Can I get some feedback from anyone who did download the video? Did you prefer the orginal soundtrack dubbed into the video instead of the live sound?

I decided to upload this version since there are already many versions of the show with the live sound. Besides, during the "slow" part, you don't get to hear people's chattering. :)

I'm planning to shoot another version with an even larger wide angle lens, and a 2nd camcorder that will zoom into the spinning "earth", so that during that slow part, we'll get to see a clearer image from it. Hopefully, we'll get to do this during our Memorial Day week trip, or the Labor Day week trip.

Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights

I have uploaded another video of one of our past trip. This one is from this past January of the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights. We had so much video footage that it would be ashame to not compile the video shots. So I've edited it and used a couple of tracks from the Holiday Wishes CD.

As with the Google video site, the download version has a better quality than the streaming version.

Hope you like it.

Since I'm already posting "out of season" pictures, might as well post a few more. :)

These are some of the Christmas decorations from this past 2005/2006 Holiday seasons. These were taken during the first week of January 2006.
