Trip Report An Anniversary/Birthday Trip to Remember, December 2024

We're back!! And there were many memorable things about our trip, some fantastic and some not so great things, but overall a wonderful trip!

Quick overview:
Who: me (Amy) and my husband, Brian
Why: we were celebrating our 25th anniversary and 50th birthdays, just 1 year late!
Where: Caribbean Beach Resort, Jamaica building 42
When: December 6-11, 2024

We had a later flight out of Columbus, so left our house about 3pm and made it in plenty of time for Brian to nap before we had to board!

We were scheduled to depart at 5:45, so got to see the sunset from the ground and the air.

I was unlucky enough to have a young child behind me that kicked my chair the entire 2 hour flight until about 10 minutes before we started our descent. We asked nicely and the flight attendant asked nicely and the mom continued to sleep with her earbuds in, so in addition to the kicking, we got to constantly hear "mom, mom"! Longest two hour flight ever!

I was worried about having to check a bag, but it made it MCO with us and in good condition, so that was a relief! Our driver met us and we were soon on our way and seeing these:

We got our room ready text while on the way. We were booked into a water/pool view 5th sleeper since that was all that available using the Bounceback offer for our dates. I had requested Jamaica and that our water view be of Barefoot Bay and not a pool. I also requested to be near the Skyliner. Yay, all of my requests were granted!!

Brian doesn't like to do a lot of the coasters because they make him feel sick as he's gotten older, but he always has to ride this one and says it doesn't bother him. Go figure!!

I tried to make a LL for MMRR in the near future and none were available, so I made it for the evening after our ToT one. I kept trying to refresh and was never successful. I never saw one for Slinky open up either all day. Once again, not real impressed with LLMP other than I guaranteed myself a night time ride on ToT. We had some time before our next LL, so we wandered around looking at Christmas decorations and hitting some of the shops.

I've said this before about your trip reports, but I have to say it again.
I was just there a few weeks ago and every time I read your reports I am shocked at how many things I don't see when I'm there that you catch in your photos.
I love it and thank you for taking the time to post all of these photos.
Thank you! And you're welcome!

We still had some time before our ADR at Oga's, so we decided to go check out Muppet Courtyard one last time (Brian is the big Muppets fan and he didn't want to see Muppet Vision 3D since we thought our June visit would be the last and he was cool with that!) and then hit Tatooine Traders for Brian.

It was finally time to head back to Oga's to try out their new menu. We took a quick trip through the Droid Depot on the way.

It was finally our turn! We were seated at a table where there were already 6 other people seated. We had the stools on the outside of the table. It was kind of awkward, but we made it work.
