Amount of POST have Declined

For example I had 920 posts yesterday and now I have 900 - I also noticed the amount of posts you contribute has dropped.

Every so often Steve deletes threads or moves some to Chit Chat. When that happens any posts you have in those threads go bye-bye and your post count goes down.

It still doesn't make any sense though...just because the thread went away doesn't make the fact that I posted on it go away.

To answer your questions about post counts reducing. The process works like this...

1. A member makes a post to a thread.
2. For whatever reason, a thread may be removed from the forum
3. Every couple of months, those removed threads are processed and removed permanently.
4. Anyone who posted in those threads will have their posts removed, and their post count will be adjusted accordingly.

Hope that helps to explain the process.

I'm pretty notorious for having the biggest difference in post count, because I get the "mouse signal" put up whenever a troll comes around to cause trouble.

If I'm okay with losing a couple hundred posts, you should be okay with 30

Oh well...Personally, the post count doesn't mean much to me either. I'd rather have a faster and cheaper (for Steve) forum than having to worry about losing the forum.
